《割書：と言ううちに手が鳴るので》「はいはい。」《割書：と言いながら立って行く。盗みとは仕舞ってある子供、その客の車を他へ出すこと也》たね「この頃隣へ大滝から出石に来ている子は、とんだ大きな顔をするによ。去年社へ来んだろう。」きづ「ああ、そうよ。わたいらはまだ一座もしないが、長家中でそう言わあな。それでもよく売るそうだよ、だが回すのう。」たね「犬兵衛さんが回さあな。本当にそりゃあそうと、明日は雪ノ下へ文を出そうによ。」きづ「一緒に状使いにも頼してやろうはな。」《割書：と一人は下へ行く。町では文使いというを、此処では状使いと云う》

《割書：おてう「曽我の五郎一が来ている？」上ならず心の内にいろいろと苦労の筋、あれは何かそわそわ心落ち着かず、たびたび廊下へ出、又蚊帳をくぐって出そうにする。此客気風は他の手通と見え》名は梶原源太。《割書：そのすそをつかまえて「こう」》「どこへ行くのだ。」てう「ちょっと手水に行って参ります。」梶「なんだこいつあ、とんだしびんじゃあないか。さっきから度々出るが、わりゃあ雪隠へとうもろこしの引き掛けでも忘れて来たのか。」てう「おめえ、そうあじに思ってくんなはる。」
