被仰候ニ岡の谷あい沢迄ハ先達而
分間相済候小野と申所は
如何候哉其義は諏訪え之道ニハ
無之小野ゟハ塩尻へ御出被成候
道ニ御座候
一岡の谷より下諏訪へ道法
　如何
　　凡弐里斗御座候哉聢と
　　不存候趣申上候
一伊那部ゟ高遠えは道法いかゝ
　　凡弐里斗御座候
一高遠ゟ次の宿ニハ
　　栗田村と申凡弐里御座候
　　栗田村ゟ御堂垣外へ壱里
　　御座候夫ゟ金沢峠と申
　　三里之峠御座候夫を御越
　　被遊金沢宿へ御出被遊候
一御意ニ金沢と申は覚無之
　青柳宿と申有之由被仰候得共

一右之趣候ハヽ又々駒場村ヘ

現代語訳

「岡の谷相沢までは先日測量が済んでおります。小野という所はどうでしょうか」と仰せになったところ、「その場所は諏訪への道ではございません。小野からは塩尻へお出になる道でございます」

一、岡の谷より下諏訪への道のりはどの程度か
　　「おおよそ二里ほどでございましょうか、はっきりとは存じません」と申し上げました

一、伊那部から高遠への道のりはどの程度か
　　おおよそ二里ほどでございます

一、高遠から次の宿場は
　　栗田村と申しまして、おおよそ二里でございます
　　栗田村から御堂垣外へ一里でございます
　　そこから金沢峠と申します三里の峠がございまして、それをお越えになって金沢宿へお出になります

一、「金沢という名前には覚えがない、青柳宿というのがあると聞いている」と仰せになりましたが、「金沢と申します」と申し上げましたところ、そのようにお控えになりました

一、右の件につきましては、また駒場村へ

When it was stated that "the survey up to Oka-no-tani Aizawa has already been completed the other day. What about the place called Ono?" the response was: "That place is not on the road to Suwa. From Ono, it is the road that leads to Shiojiri."

"It is approximately two ri, though I do not know for certain," was the reply.

Approximately two ri.

1. What is the next post station from Takato?
It is called Kurita Village, approximately two ri away.
From Kurita Village to Mido-Kakigai is one ri.
From there is a pass called Kanazawa Pass, which is a three-ri pass. After crossing it, you reach Kanazawa Station.

1. When told "I have no recollection of a place called Kanazawa; I have heard there is Aoyagi Station," the response was "It is called Kanazawa," and this was duly recorded.
