二月十八日の手紙を松平薩摩守に託して久信が伝達したところ、
去夏に
貴国の使者である金武・国頭が来朝し、我が
大君の幕下に拝謁して
大納言殿の慶事について述べ、その帰帆の際に兄
下に賜物を投下され、また両使者及び従僕等も幸いにも恩恵を蒙ったと審らかに知った。今また、その厚き
御意に感謝申し上げ、読谷山王子を薩州に到着させ、礼謝の趣意を述べさせることを久信が申し
上げたため、
尊聴に達し、その献上した土産・貢物についても啓上したところ、頗る喜びの気持ちを動かされ、その意を労うことこの上ない。
その他のことは久信の伝言に委ねる。恐々不備

Respectfully submitted to Matsudaira Izumi-no-kami-sama

When Hisanobu conveyed the letter of the 18th day of the 2nd month through Matsudaira Satsuma-no-kami,
we clearly understood that last summer
the envoys from your country, Kin and Kunigami, came to court and were granted audience under our
Great Lord's curtain government, spoke about the joyous occasion of the Great Counselor, and upon their return voyage, gifts were bestowed upon the elder
brother, and both envoys as well as their attendants were fortunate to receive benevolent favor. Now again, in gratitude for such profound
benevolence, we are having Prince Yomitanzan arrive in Satsuma Province to express our gratitude and respect, which Hisanobu reported,
thereby reaching your
esteemed hearing. Regarding the local products and tributes presented, when these were also reported, they greatly stirred feelings of joy, and there is nothing more gratifying than to appreciate such intentions.
For other matters, we entrust them to Hisanobu's verbal communication. With utmost reverence and inadequate expression.
