今春二月十八日の書翰を、この月に松平薩摩守から伝達され、
去夏に
貴国の使者である金武・国頭が我が
幼君に賀詞を奉り、暇を賜って帰国する時に音物若干を遣わされ、また両使者及び従者
等もまた皆恩賜を浴したということを審らかに知った。足下がこれに感載する余り、今また読谷山
王子を使者として薩州に渡らせ、謝辞を述べて土宜を献じたその趣旨を、薩摩守が
具に言上し、その通りに啓達したところ、頗る
喜色を動かし、遠意を安んじられるべきである。その他のことは薩摩守に託してこれを諭す。恐々不

尺牘到来し、披見して怡悦す。去夏
貴国来朝の使者金武・国頭が帰国して無事であった趣を披告され、
珍重の至りである。今また使者読谷山王子を薩州に
着岸させた由を薩摩守充久が述べられ、また前面に投じられた音物を謝され、
この度土宜を寄せられ厚意が在り、委曲は薩摩守をもって申し上げる。恐々

英語訳

The letter dated the 18th day of the 2nd month of this spring was conveyed from Matsudaira Satsuma-no-kami this month, and we clearly understood that last summer
the envoys from your country, Kin and Kunigami, offered congratulations to our
young lord, and when they were granted leave to return to their country, various gifts were bestowed upon them, and both envoys as well as their attendants
all received gracious gifts. Your Excellency being deeply moved by this gratitude, now again sent Prince Yomitanzan as an envoy to cross to Satsuma Province to express gratitude and present local products. Satsuma-no-kami
reported this matter in detail, and when it was conveyed accordingly, it greatly stirred
joyful expression and should put distant concerns at ease. Other matters are entrusted to Satsuma-no-kami to convey. With utmost reverence, inadequately
expressed.

Your letter has arrived and we have read it with great pleasure. Regarding last summer's
envoys from your country who came to court, Kin and Kunigami, we were informed of their safe return to their country,
which is most precious news indeed. Now again, Satsuma-no-kami Hisahisa has reported that you have sent the envoy Prince Yomitanzan to land in Satsuma Province, and that you have expressed gratitude for the gifts previously bestowed,
and this time have sent local products with profound consideration. The details will be conveyed through Satsuma-no-kami. With utmost reverence
