現代語訳

台命を拝聞して違いない。これにより充久に附けて高恩を拝謝するため、両
上様へ軽微で乏しい土産を備え、具志州皇子を使いとして祝詞を奉伸し、誠
に以って寸情を奉表候。その余慶は使者の口上にあり、
尊前において宜しく御取成しを預かり候。誠惶謹言

大納言様の尊前に拝献し、宜しく御披露を預かり、なお使者具志州王子が
口説すべき候。誠に惺々として不備

I have respectfully received and heard your esteemed command without error. Therefore, attaching to Mitsuhisa to express gratitude for your great benevolence, for both
Their Lordships I have prepared modest and humble local products, sending Prince Gushiken as envoy to offer congratulations, truly
expressing my sincere feelings. The additional blessings lie in the envoy's verbal report, and I hope to
receive your favorable mediation before your honored presence. With sincere awe and respect.

I respectfully offer this letter. Regarding the succession of the King of the Ryukyu Kingdom, the matter of my humble reassurance was conveyed by
Satsuma's Governor Mitsuhisa last winter, and
as instructed by the great lord's esteemed command, to offer gratitude and congratulatory words to
your camp, I have attached to Mitsuhisa modest local products to
respectfully present before His Lordship the Great Counselor, hoping for your disclosure, and furthermore the envoy Prince Gushiken will
provide verbal explanation. With sincere vigilance, though inadequate.
