を見ると、敵が五、六人見張りに置かれているのを発見した。後ろから味方が六、七人槍を持って入ると、敵も人数を増やしてきた。そこへ榊原左衛門が上下五、六人ほどで来る。同じく飛騨守は鍋島一手の御目付として兼ねてから仰せつけられていた。この時大築山の辺りに入ろうとしたところ、左衛門が出丸の内に入るまで、飛騨守の供の者がこれを見つけて「左衛門殿が城中へお入りになりました」と告げたので、飛騨守は驚いて駆けつけ、出丸の内に入って「鍋島の先兵よ、駆け連なって突撃せよ」と下知したので、御目付の下知を憚ることなく承知して、早速皆が乗り入った。

鍋島の馬廻の石井弥五左衛門が一番乗り、同じく伝右衛門が二番である。足軽の内では石崎五郎左衛門が一番に二の丸の小屋に火を放ち、足軽の田代四郎左衛門が二番目に火を付けて焼き立てた。その時の様子を鍋島の物頭である中野内匠、大木兵部という者が記憶している由である。それから前後左右の諸軍勢が即時に乗り入り、本丸際まで押し寄せ、総勢が塀の際まで取り詰めた。しかし城中から弓、鉄砲、石、材木、泥土、灰、砂、悪水、あるいは筵や藁に火を付けて投げかけるなど、激しく防戦するので、味方が本丸に乗り入ることは困難であった。伊豆守、左門は大将であるので、人衆と共に二の丸、三の丸に備えを立て、諸軍からも本陣と呼ばれた。甲斐は伊豆守の先手として、本丸で支えている様子を見て馬印を

Among Nabeshima's mounted retainers, Ishii Yazaemon achieved first entry, and Denemon was second. The circumstances of that time are remembered by Nabeshima's unit commanders Nakano Takumi and Oki Hyobu.
