又曰同廿七日申之刻今度有馬表に而石垣に付
　申候乗場に吟味有之由に付次郎右衛門は天守
　之臺脇高石垣へ三度迄付申候三度之内石
　垣ならし際迄一度は半分過又一度石三つ
　上り申候三度共に被打落申候右手大分おい候
　て草臥申候故引取候得与召仕者共申候得共
　城中江乗込ふ申事残多候間日暮迄石垣之
　下に罷在候丹後守殿ゟ引取候得与三度迄
　使を御立三度目に任其意申候右之節寺沢
　兵庫殿内石原八兵衛与名乗合八兵衛方

　ゟ其後書状差越候事
又曰丹後守殿前江罷出段々申入候處に小笠原
　右近殿舎弟小笠原出雲守殿丹後守殿
　二郎右衛門を御引合稲葉一鉄ひ古稲葉
　阿んち尓も飛古にて候尤親祖父之事迄先
　祖具に御申出物今日之首尾残る処茂無之候以来
　出雲殿茂能御覚失念有之間鋪与念頃に被
　仰丹後守殿御引合候而出雲殿次郎右衛門知
　人に被成候事
又曰同晩大原平左衛門与申家老戌之刻に至る

現代語訳

また曰く「同二十七日申の刻、今度有馬表において石垣に取り付いた乗り場について吟味があったので、次郎右衛門は天守の台脇の高石垣へ三度まで取り付いた。三度のうち、石垣ならし際まで一度は半分過ぎ、また一度は石三つ分上った。三度とも打ち落とされた。右手を大分負傷して草臥れたので引き取ろうと召し使いの者どもが申したけれども、城中へ乗り込もうという思いが残り多くあったので日暮れまで石垣の下にとどまっていた。丹後守殿から引き取るようにと三度まで使いをお立てになり、三度目にその意に従った。その節、寺沢兵庫殿の家臣石原八兵衛と名乗り合い、八兵衛の方

からその後書状を差し越した」ということである。

また曰く「丹後守殿の前へ参上して段々申し入れたところ、小笠原右近殿の舎弟小笠原出雲守殿が丹後守殿に次郎右衛門をお引き合わせになった。『稲葉一鉄の孫で稲葉安千代も美濃にいる。もっとも親祖父のことまで先祖具にお申し出のもの、今日の首尾に残るところもない。以来出雲殿もよくご記憶されて忘念あるまじ』と念頃に仰せられ、丹後守殿がお引き合わせになって出雲殿は次郎右衛門を知人になさった」ということである。

また曰く「同晩、大原平左衛門という家老が戌の刻に至るまで

Also it states: "On the same 27th day at the hour of the monkey, since there was an inspection regarding the climbing positions for attacking the stone walls at Arima, Jirōemon attempted to scale the high stone walls beside the keep's foundation three times. Of these three attempts, once he climbed past halfway to the stone wall's leveled edge, and another time he climbed up three stones' height. All three times he was beaten down. His right hand was severely injured and he was exhausted, so his retainers suggested he withdraw. However, since his desire to break into the castle remained strong, he stayed at the base of the stone walls until nightfall. Tango-no-kami-dono sent messengers three times telling him to withdraw, and on the third time he complied with this intention. At that time, he exchanged names with Ishihara Hachibe of Terasawa Hyōgo-dono's retainers, and Hachibe later

sent him a letter."

Also it states: "When he went before Tango-no-kami-dono and made various reports, Ogasawara Izumo-no-kami-dono, the younger brother of Ogasawara Ukon-dono, introduced Jirōemon to Tango-no-kami-dono. [Izumo-no-kami said:] 'He is the grandson of Inaba Ittetsu, and Inaba Anchiyo is also in Mino. Naturally, he has properly declared his ancestry back to his great-grandfather, and there is nothing lacking in today's conduct. Henceforth, Izumo-dono should remember him well and not forget.' Speaking earnestly, Tango-no-kami-dono made the introduction and Izumo-dono came to know Jirōemon as an acquaintance."
