Zaemon Jizaemon went to the seaside direction and joined with Sakon's unit. Within the main citadel and ni-no-maru, they abandoned those who had engaged in spear combat. Jidayū Kinosuke's military exploits were well witnessed by a man named Hikita Shirōzaemon from Sakon-sama's retinue, and after the castle fell, he related this to the warrior commander Totoki Sanyanosuke and Takumi-nosuke. There is a written testimony from Takumi-nosuke's side regarding this matter on a separate document. After that, they met together with Sakon-sama's unit and established their formation below the slope on the seaside of the main citadel, above Hasuike pond. When a few commanding figures could be seen near the main citadel's stone wall, Jidayū addressed everyone: "What do you all think? First, why don't you approach the stone wall and act according to the situation?" However, since no one seemed to agree,
when Mizutani Jiemon asked what should be done, Jiemon replied that according to military law, "Even if one charges ahead of the formation and achieves any kind of distinguished service, it will not count as merit," and approaching the stone walls was not done with group consensus. Therefore, [Jidayū] said, "If that is the case, I shall go alone," climbed the slope, reached the base of the stone wall, and climbed over it. As soon as his battle standard became visible above the stone wall, the enemy set fire to leafy torches and hurled them, struck with stones, hit the gaps in his armor, and knocked him down below the stone wall. He lost consciousness briefly, but while recovering and getting up, Sakon-sama's unit climbed up the slope from below, so he joined them in the assault again. At that time, a man named Nagao Kanbei from Kishū-sama's retinue also, that
