黒沢左太夫岸半右衛門島原一揆之時節働之覚
　曰二月廿八日夘刻細川殿手ゟ火矢火御丸江打
　懸け焼立申消尓切支丹屋根江登り候時又一本
　打懸け此矢に而本丸之家焼申候十蔵殿先手江
　御出候得者細川殿物頭留申候に付主水殿鑓被
　成候様に御同道之由被仰矢越に而味方打在之候
　鉄炮止候様に与被仰付黒田殿鍋島殿江茂御
　断被仰候旨に而柵之木三本御抜かせ内江御入扨

黒沢左太夫・岸半右衛門の島原一揆の時節の働きの覚書
二月二十八日卯の刻、細川殿の手から火矢・火御丸を打ち
かけて焼き立て申したところ、切支丹が屋根に登った時、また一本
打ちかけ、この矢によって本丸の家を焼き申した。十蔵殿が先手に
お出になったところ、細川殿の物頭が留め申したので、主水殿が槍を
なされるようにお同道の由を仰せられ、矢越しにおいて味方が撃ち合っている
鉄砲を止めるようにと仰せ付けられ、黒田殿・鍋島殿にも
お断りを仰せられた旨により、柵の木三本をお抜かせになり内にお入りになり、そして

When the Christians climbed onto the roofs, another arrow was shot, and this arrow burned down the houses in the main compound. When Jūkura-dono advanced to the front lines, Hosokawa-dono's military commander ordered him to stop, so Mondo-dono commanded that spears should be used and that he should accompany them.
