佐州とても西三河といふ所より揚る砂金わつか斗の事也
松前蝦夷地の事ハ山川はいふに及ハす原野とても砂金あり
敢て金山より流出すにあらす土地一面に生する所の砂金也
然れとも土地一様に生る其河源の金気あるへき事ゆへ
是を吟味せし所にクンスイ砂金場の河原に金山あり
其証拠相糺し既に見極たり此地砂金を元事を知て
金気のつるを追て所中へ入事を知らす是によつて
以前より山を堀といふ事はなし今まれに見る所堀たる
路なきにもあらされとも砂金を見へて堀たるにて
金石を目当に堀たるにてハなし夫故銀山銅山等ハ

此地銀遣ひなし金つかひも小判の通用は近き頃より

佐渡でさえも西三河という所から出る砂金はわずかなことである。松前・蝦夷地のことは、山川はいうまでもなく原野でも砂金がある。決して金山から流出するのではなく、土地一面に自然に生じる砂金である。しかしながら土地一様に生じるその河の源に金気があるはずなので、これを調査したところ、クンスイ砂金場の河原に金山がある。その証拠を調べ、既に見極めた。この地では砂金を元とすることを知って、金気の続くのを追って所々に入ることを知らない。これによって以前から山を掘るということはなかった。今稀に見る掘った跡がないわけではないが、砂金を見つけて掘ったもので、金石を目当てに掘ったものではない。それ故、銀山・銅山等は
