功能を心見て世に益あらハ国益と成へし
一 ハホロの並にイシカリ川といふ大河あり川口広さ壱里
はかり急流なり壱里程乗入れハ段々流れゆるく
川幅次第に広し四十町五十町に及ぶ所もあり常に
水多くして増減の時なし此川源知る者なし先年
イワナイといふ所の蝦夷人小舟に乗て泝り日数十
二日のほりけるに其源知れさるといへり川端に蝦夷
人住居して松前商人も行所なり又奥蝦夷ユウ
ベツといふ川は此イシカリを倍セし大河なり河辺
蝦夷村多く蝦夷地にて夷人の多きは此ユウヘツを
