一 蝦夷人の性質は正直であるといっても、商船が行き交って交易に慣れた蝦夷人には偽りを謀ることがある。特に注意すべきことは、熊胆や膃肭臍に似せ物が多いことである。熊胆は魚の腸の苦味がある所を取って、熊胆の薄皮を剥いでこれを包み、乾かして干し上げるとなる。また偽の膃肭臍は
