一此度
申上厚思召も被為在候に付同役衆
申談古格を取失ひ不申候様
心掛候儀に付古摂津守殿より
老衆え御差出候書付之扣同人
家来 公用方え申付候書付
并家中触共三通摂津守殿
御差出同役衆え被為見候右
書付老衆えも弾正殿より
被差出候処猶又老衆兼々
申合之趣を越前殿より
被為見候間都合四通之書付之
趣を以一同相心得居可申筈と
申談相済候
右之通りに候是迄迚も申付を
皆々厳重に相守候儀且兼々
申付候通り当家に重き
御役儀中絶之処去年結構蒙
仰を候上は難有精勤致度此上の
念願に候間正路を専一として
弥相励候より外無之猶又追々
可申聞候得共役々之者別て
厚相心得其外えも心付次第為咄置
度事に候委細は年寄共え

一、この度
申し上げたところ、厚いお心遣いもおありになるということで、同役の衆と
申し談じ、古来の格式を取り失わないように
心がけることについて、古い摂津守殿より
老衆へご提出された書付の控え、同人の
家来、公用方へ申し付けた書付
ならびに家中触れ、合わせて三通を摂津守殿が
ご提出され、同役衆へご覧に入れられた。右の
書付は老衆へも弾正殿より
差し出されたところ、なお老衆がかねがね
申し合わせていた趣旨を越前殿より
ご覧に入れられたので、都合四通の書付の
趣旨をもって一同で心得ておくべき筈と
申し談じて済ませた。
右の通りである。これまでも申し付けを
皆々厳重に守ってきたことであり、かねがね
申し付けている通り、当家にとって重要な
ご役儀が中絶していたところ、去年結構なお
仰せを蒙った上は、ありがたく精勤したい。この上の
念願であるので、正しい道を第一として
いよいよ励むより他はない。なお追々
申し聞かせるであろうが、役々の者は特に
厚く心得、その他へも気付き次第話しておき
たいことである。委細は年寄共へ
申し含めた。

One, regarding this matter:
When we submitted our report, there was gracious consideration shown, so consulting with fellow officials,
we discussed ensuring that we do not lose
the ancient protocols and customs.
The copies of documents that the former Settsu-no-kami submitted
to the elders, the documents he ordered
his retainers and the Public Affairs Office to prepare,
as well as notifications to the domain retainers - three documents in total that Settsu-no-kami
submitted and showed to fellow officials. These
documents were also submitted to the elders by Danjō-dono.
Furthermore, the intentions that the elders had long
discussed were shown by Echizen-dono,
so it was agreed that all should understand and follow
the purport of these four documents in total.
This is how it stands. The instructions issued thus far
have been strictly observed by everyone, and as has been
consistently ordered, important official duties
of our house had been suspended, but since last year we received favorable
orders, we gratefully wish to serve diligently. This being our
greatest desire, we must make righteousness our foremost principle and
work even harder. We will continue to
give instructions, but officials especially should
thoroughly understand this, and we wish to inform
others as we notice the need.
Details have been communicated to the elders.
