一 同十二年丑(1841年)二月十三日 老年病気につき願いの通り
御取次助勤、御祐筆頭取を御免される。年来経学
筆道を怠りなく、殊に老年まで御家中の者の
師範を真心をもって心がけ寄特の至りにつき、格席そのまま
御据え置かれ、今しばらく経学の師範を
仰せ付けられ、かつ月々六度従来御広間御番方並びの
昼番を勤めるべき候
一 同十四年卯(1843年)三月朔日 老衰につき願いの通り隠居を
仰せ付けられ、家督は息子悌蔵へ、高三十五俵

1. 12th year of Tenpō, Year of the Ox (1841), February 13th: Due to old age and illness, as requested, he was relieved of his duties as assistant aide and chief secretary. Having diligently practiced classical studies and calligraphy for many years, and particularly having devoted himself wholeheartedly to serving as an instructor for retainers of the domain even in his old age, this being especially commendable, his rank was maintained as is, and he was appointed to continue as an instructor of classical studies for a while longer, also to perform day watch duty six times per month alongside the regular guard officers of the main hall.
1. 14th year of Tenpō, Year of the Rabbit (1843), March 1st: Due to advanced age, as requested, he was granted retirement, and his son Teizō inherited the family headship with a stipend of 35 hyō of rice and support for three retainers without change.
1. Same day: Having served for several decades until extreme old age and diligently attended to classical studies instruction, as a special consideration, he was granted 15 books of available Mino paper worth 100 hiki in gold.
