　一去る朔日之夜明時分惣責御座候而塀際
　　へ着候処石を落鉄砲を打なた長太刀に而
　　突申候先手崩申候故跡迄其通に而御座候
　　其時内膳様十蔵様塀際へ悉引取内
　　膳様は内ゟ鉄砲当り御果被成候十蔵様は
　　御方ゟ鑓を御つき込被成候内ゟ長太刀に而つ
　　き申候鉄砲当り申事
　一鍋島人数四拾斗乗込申候処塀裏におとし

　　御座候而死申候其内三人罷出語申由及承

切支丹蜂起覚書に載せられている内容

　一、去る朔日（一日）の夜明け時分に総攻撃が行われ、塀際まで到達したところ、石を落とし、鉄砲を撃ち、なた・長太刀で突いてきた。先手が崩れたため、後まで同様の状況であった。その時、内膳様・十蔵様が塀際へ完全に引き取られ、内膳様は城内から鉄砲が当たってお亡くなりになった。十蔵様は味方から槍を突き込まれ、城内からは長太刀で突かれ、鉄砲も当たった。

　一、鍋島の兵数四十ほどが乗り込んだところ、塀の裏に落とされて死んだ。そのうち三人が出てきて語ったと聞いている。

　一、松平甚三郎様、牧野伝蔵様、林丹波様の手違いがあったため詳細は分からないが、それでも味方の負傷者が非常に多くいたと聞いている。二日に城中に土手を築いたのか、土がますます盛り上がっているように見える。以上。

　一、At dawn on the 1st day of this month, a general assault was conducted and when [our forces] reached the wall, [the defenders] dropped stones, fired guns, and stabbed with hatchets and long swords. The vanguard collapsed, so the situation remained the same all the way to the rear. At that time, Naizen-sama and Jūzō-sama completely withdrew to the wall area. Naizen-sama was struck by gunfire from inside [the castle] and perished. Jūzō-sama was stabbed by a spear from our own side, stabbed by a long sword from inside [the castle], and also hit by gunfire.

　一、About forty soldiers from the Nabeshima forces climbed in but were dropped behind the wall and died. I have heard that three of them came out and spoke [about the situation].

　一、There were coordination problems with the forces of Matsudaira Jinzaburō-sama, Makino Denzō-sama, and Hayashi Tamba-sama, so I do not know the details. However, I heard that there were very many wounded among our allies. On the 2nd day, they may have built earthworks inside the castle, as the earth appears to be increasingly piled up. The above.
