　候様に与松平伊豆守様ゟ被仰下早速兵庫頭
　殿被引越惣人数不残供仕候黒田右衛門佐様
　御陣所之隣小山之上ゟ平地へ陣所を御渡し
　被成早速陣小屋を掛申候仕寄場は右衛門佐様
　仕寄場与鍋島信濃守様仕寄場与之間初手
　ゟ難所に而手明に成居申候処陣所ゟは少筋違
　申候所を幅四拾間之間間を御打御渡し被成此所
　ゟ金堀を御入被成木石火矢に而城中を御焼崩
　可被成与被仰渡候則四拾間之所を請取堺目々々に

　志免くいを打振春ての柵を振里番小屋を
　立置申候扨仕寄之儀は鴨野茂右衛門尤場之
　左法者迚竹束を裁判春竹之長さ壱丈壱尺
　に切押立候得は城中高見成故竹束を見
　越鉄砲を打懸候故竹束用に不立太左衛門
　其躰を見我等竹束を付さ須扁し迚天

　巻付候故其後取越矢不成故次第に付寄

According to Namikawa-shi's memorandum, on the 10th day of the 1st month, orders came from Matsudaira Izu-no-kami-sama to move all forces to Arima. Hyōgo-no-kami-dono immediately relocated, and all forces without exception followed. The camp was moved from atop a small hill adjacent to Kuroda Uemon-no-suke-sama's headquarters to flat ground, and camp huts were quickly erected. The siege works were positioned between Uemon-no-suke-sama's siege position and Nabeshima Shinano-no-kami-sama's siege position, an area that had been difficult terrain and understaffed from the beginning. A section forty ken wide was established at a slight angle from the main camp.
