又曰松浦大学浅谷又右衛門久家兵部左衛門久
　川惣左衛門有馬罷在候長崎御番手被仰付右
　之人数長崎へ罷越城十郎左衛門も一所に長崎へ参候
　浅谷又右衛門は組之御徒士之者弐拾人召連参候
　事
長崎記曰早崎之方ゟ城之様躰を見に鉄砲石
　火矢を可打懸積りに而阿蘭陀舩一艘唐船
　四艘を彼所へ廻し阿蘭陀之はらんたに上り遠
　目鏡を以様躰を見廻せし所を却て四郎方ゟ
　石火矢を打懸候得は是に驚き逆様に落て死

　せしと也唐船には浜田乗師寺島谷六永奥
　西其外鉄砲石火矢打等打乗行しと也
又曰阿蘭陀人此時迄は平戸へ入津然る所原之
　城舩手ゟ石火矢打御手立に而阿蘭陀舩壱艘　
　原之城海辺に乗廻し城中に石火矢を打込筈
　に候得共城高き故舩中ゟ思ふ侭に其業成ふ申
　夫故陸に上り折々石火矢打といへ共替りたる仕
　業も（無之）無程平戸へ被着戻けり
長崎拾芥集曰平戸着岸之阿蘭陀舩壱艘
　原之城へ召阿蘭陀人之内石火矢上手を撰ひ乗

現代語訳

また曰く、松浦大学、浅谷又右衛門、久家兵部左衛門、久川惣左衛門、有馬が滞在していた長崎の御番手を仰せ付けられ、右の人数が長崎へ赴いた。城十郎左衛門も一緒に長崎へ参った。浅谷又右衛門は組の御徒士の者二十人を連れて参ったことである。

『長崎記』に曰く、早崎の方から城の様子を見て鉄砲や石火矢を撃ちかける積もりで、オランダ船一艘、唐船四艘をあの場所へ回した。オランダのはらんだ（船員）が上って遠眼鏡で様子を見回していた所を、かえって四郎方から石火矢を撃ちかけられたので、これに驚き逆さまに落ちて死んでしまったということである。唐船には浜田乗師、寺島谷六、永奥西、その外鉄砲や石火矢撃ちなどが乗り組んで行ったということである。

また曰く、オランダ人はこの時まで平戸へ入津していた。ところが原城の船手から石火矢を撃つ御手立てで、オランダ船一艘を原城の海辺に乗り回し、城中に石火矢を撃ち込む筈であったが、城が高いため船中から思うままにその業を成すことができなかった。そのため陸に上がって時々石火矢を撃ったけれども、格別な仕事もなく、程なく平戸へ帰着した。

『長崎拾芥集』に曰く、平戸に着岸していたオランダ船一艘を原城へ召し、オランダ人の内で石火矢の上手を選んで乗せ

Also recorded: Matsuura Daigaku, Asatani Matauemon, Hisaie Hyōbuzaemon, Hisakawa Sōzaemon, and Arima were stationed at Nagasaki guard duty, and these personnel went to Nagasaki. Jō Jūrōzaemon also went to Nagasaki together with them. Asatani Matauemon brought twenty retainer foot soldiers from his group.

According to the "Nagasaki Record": With the intention of observing the castle's condition from the direction of Hayasaki and firing cannons and stone fire arrows, they moved one Dutch ship and four Chinese ships to that location. A Dutch sailor climbed up and was surveying the situation with a telescope when, conversely, stone fire arrows were fired from Shirō's side, surprising him so that he fell backward and died. On the Chinese ships were Hamada pilot, Terajima Taniroku, Nagaoku Nishi, and others including cannon and stone fire arrow shooters.

Also recorded: Until this time, the Dutch had been entering the port at Hirado. However, as a strategy to fire stone fire arrows from the naval forces at Hara Castle, one Dutch ship was sent to sail around the seaside of Hara Castle and was supposed to fire stone fire arrows into the castle. But because the castle was high, they could not accomplish this task as desired from aboard the ship. Therefore, they landed and occasionally fired stone fire arrows, but without any remarkable results, and soon returned to Hirado.

According to the "Nagasaki Shūgaishū": One Dutch ship that was anchored at Hirado was summoned to Hara Castle, and skilled stone fire arrow shooters were selected from among the Dutch to board
