　を操出す時丑之刻也三之丸城兵之内大江布津
　堂崎北へ有馬之輩三千五百余人相堅居候
　處に有馬勢鬨を揚堀を越攻入所を城兵
　共弓鉄炮を無透間放し懸て悉く打立
　け連は有馬勢拾四人立所に被打殺敗軍共城
　兵等勝に乗而木戸を開き令追討寄手之惣
　勢は刻限相達故有馬勢之鬨を城兵等此惣攻
　を察て先達而揚候時声かと存各静居候城
　兵は有馬勢を退散し勝不古川て扨は今日
　弥惣攻与存各用意せし免寄手之掛るを相

　待候由右之通城兵等待懸居候処に同日夜明け
　夘刻斗諸手之寄手一同に攻掛鬨を作り太
　皷を打て各塀下江付寄候城兵等身命を捨
　て防戦弓鉄炮無止時敵掛り候に付諸勢多
　屋す〳〵難攻入所に四郎下知を以亭大手之持
　口得浮武者大矢野松右衛門山谷右衛門其外郷民
　弐千余人令加勢此手之人数都合五千余人切
　先を揃て切て出討取候相働候間寄手多令戦
　死悉く攻阿ぐみ致退出候
又曰板倉内膳正其日之出立紺糸おどしの鎧唐

を繰り出したのは丑の刻であった。三之丸の城兵のうち、大江・布津・堂崎・北へ有馬の一族三千五百余人が堅固に守備していた。
そこに有馬勢が鬨の声を上げて堀を越えて攻め入ったところ、城兵たちが弓・鉄砲を絶え間なく撃ちかけてことごとく打ち立てたので、有馬勢十四人がその場で討ち殺され、敗軍となった。城兵らは勝ちに乗じて木戸を開き追討を行った。寄手の総勢は時刻が到来したため、有馬勢の鬨の声を城兵らはこれが総攻撃かと察して、先ほど上げた鬨の声かと思い各々静かにしていた。城兵は有馬勢を退散させて勝ち、慌てることなく「さては今日こそ総攻撃だ」と思い各々用意をして、寄手が攻めかかるのを待っていた。

右の通り城兵らが待ちかまえていたところ、同日夜明けの卯の刻頃、諸手の寄手が一斉に攻めかかり鬨を作り太鼓を打って各々塀下に取り付いた。城兵らは身命を捨てて防戦し、弓・鉄砲を絶え間なく撃ちかけてきたため、諸勢は多数死傷し攻め入ることが困難であった。そこで四郎の下知により、大手の持ち口において浮武者の大矢野松右衛門・山谷右衛門その他郷民二千余人を加勢させ、この手の人数は都合五千余人となった。切っ先を揃えて切って出て討ち取るなどの働きをしたため、寄手は多数戦死し、ことごとく攻めあぐんで退出した。
