　鞘を外し希る中に父左源太を見失ひ夫ゟ一
　番備山崎太郎兵衛か朋勢を鑓之石突に而割
　りたてゝ進希る越白井甚左衛門伊藤か鎧之
　袖を扣貴殿与一所に可働与云にゟ然者同道
　申さんと云て終に山崎か備を欠抜け右手先
　之塀下に付く此時は未闇して塀下へ差多る
　遅速分明なら須と云へ共此両人を魁とせん
　か其後左吉は両眼に砂を打入ら連左右を不

　顧申に味方悉く引上しかは左吉は取しつ免
　て大夫を飛下希るに倒伏たる手負死人足を
　入るゝ尓処無加如し父左源太や在と思多く
　横に尋廻り其後旗本江帰ける尓有馬内記一
　檀き所に居て爰に退は何者成ぞと云に依て
　伊藤左吉也与答けれ者其方之艮振見届多り
　亦爰かし古見阿るきたるは何事をかせしと
　問父左源太を尋候しと云けれは其次てに有
　馬主殿をは若見さるやと云主殿は見か希さ
　里しと返答して内記か跡に付て本陣に帰る

二男の左吉《割書：後に武兵衛と号す》は勇力が大いに知られた者であった。最前は父の跡について竹橋を渡ろうとしたが、槍の鞘を外している間に父左源太を見失い、それから一番備の山崎太郎兵衛の朋勢を槍の石突で割って進んだところ、白井甚左衛門が伊藤の鎧の袖を掴んで「貴殿と一緒に働こう」と言ったので「それでは同道しよう」と言って、ついに山崎の備を抜け出して右手先の塀下に着いた。この時はまだ暗くなって塀下への到着の遅速が分明でないとはいえ、この両人を先駆けとしよう。その後左吉は両眼に砂を打ち込まれたが左右を顧みることなく
