　図岡市郎右衛門も内記と一所に有て此時伊
　藤に言葉を加己春然は此日之後殿大身には
　稲次鍋之助小身には伊藤左吉たるへきや扨
　有馬内記は忠郷之前に参り先手を励し給ん
　ゐ是迄陣を破寄しは誠に由に敷御計也此御
　斗略を徒に成し攻取申さぬ事骨髄に徹し口
　惜し迚楚ゝ語尓落涙せしと也此時に至り佐
　々新左衛門山村彦四郎《割書：後号｜源太夫》に向て此方之
　頭渡瀬将監今朝手を負被申而後其手所之可
　否を知す今築山下に居被申との案内阿連は

　貴殿を同道して今之内に彼手所を見て可帰
　と云け連者彦四郎か曰仮初にも帰らは後難
　之程茂難斗願くは此訪ひを被止よ加しと云
　希れは所左衛門深く此儀を信しけると也彼
　彦四郎其頃は纔に行年十九歳な連共斯る遠
　慮を廻しける是に類せぬ輩阿り先手城際を
　引取て皆旗本江集しに先手之軍士廿人斗旛
　幟を見付さりし尓や竹橋を渡りて引退傍輩
　彼を嘲りて泥這を云異名を唱ふ太守帰陣有
　て後彼見苦く退し輩追放ありしと也角て御

図岡市郎右衛門も内記と一緒にいて、この時伊藤に言葉をかけた。「それならば、この日の後殿は、大身には稲次鍋之助、小身には伊藤左吉がふさわしいだろう。」さて有馬内記は忠郷の前に参り、「先手を励ましなさいませ。ここまで陣を破って寄せたのは、まことに道理にかなった御計略です。この御計略を無駄にして攻め取れないことは骨身にしみて口惜しい」と言って、つらつらと語りながら落涙したという。この時に至り、佐々新左衛門が山村彦四郎《割書：後に源太夫と号す》に向かって「こちらの頭である渡瀬将監が今朝手を負われて、その傷の具合がどうか分からない。今築山の下にいらっしゃるとの知らせがある。
