これら以外にも直参の足軽・下々百六十三人、家中の七分七十一人、家中の下々五百六十人が傷を負った。この日、大手旗本において矢石に当たって死傷した者はおよそ九百七十余人に及んだ。その後、忠郷は有馬内記と相談して、死亡し負傷した諸役人の代理として、その子弟または別人を選んで配置した。ただし、手傷を負った面々は傷が完全に治癒してから、この陣に励んだ者も多かった。このように死傷者が多く出たため、討死した死骸を引き取ろうとして夜に入り、足軽の者や下々などを城の塀下へ派遣したところ、城中から松明を投げ出し、その光で鉄砲を放って傷を負う者もいた。

In addition to these, 163 direct retainer ashigaru and lower ranks, 71 of the seven divisions of the household, and 560 lower-ranking members of the household were wounded. On this day, approximately 970 people were killed or wounded by arrows and stones at the main gate under the hatamoto forces. Afterward, Tadasato consulted with Arima Naiki and selected sons, younger brothers, or other replacements for the various officials who had died or been wounded. However, many of those who had been wounded served diligently in this campaign after their injuries had completely healed. Due to the heavy casualties, when they tried to retrieve the corpses of those killed in battle by sending ashigaru and lower-ranking soldiers to the base of the castle walls under cover of night, torches were thrown out from within the castle, and muskets were fired by that light, wounding some of the men.
