一 今日の件について同役の方々へ申し述べ、先方からも感謝の言葉をいただいた。
一 老中衆が登城し、名前を呼ばれて中之間へ出向き、当番の上座に着座した。名前を呼ばれて自分は御張紙の下の例席へ着座した。
ただし、御同朋頭常阿弥に会い、伊勢守殿へ例の通り御届けをした。
新番所前の溜まりで先例の通り言上書を差し出すことについて御用人との
面会の件を申し談じ、また御廻り御引懸の中之間での
御目見上意の御礼を申し上げることも話しておき、かつまた今日は疝積と
足痛を押して登城したので、万一
御座之間での進退について御目障りなどがあってはいかがなものかと思い、
念のためその旨も申し上げておいた。このように話しておいた。
一 伊勢守殿、備前守殿が御出席され、御会釈の際に時宜を少し進めて
出席《割書：扇子を差したまま》したことを伊勢守殿へ御届け申し上げ、少し下がって控えていた。その後
和泉守殿、伊賀守殿、大和守殿、紀伊守殿が御出席され、御会釈の
際に時宜を行い、それが済んでから新番所前の溜まりで伊勢
守殿へ言上書を差し出そうとしたところ、御用多忙とのことで御面会がなく、
紀伊守殿との御面会となったので、以下の通り言上書を

One: The Council of Elders arrived at the castle, and when names were called, I proceeded to the Naka-no-ma and took my seat above the duty officer. When my name was called, I took my seat at the customary position below the posted notice.
However, I met with Godobo-gashira Joa-ami and made the usual report to Lord Ise-no-kami.
I discussed with the attendants about submitting a formal report at the waiting area in front of the Shinbansho according to precedent, and also about meeting with the chief retainer and expressing gratitude for the audience and imperial favor in the Naka-no-ma during the rounds. Furthermore, today I forced myself to come to the castle despite suffering from intestinal colic and foot pain, so in case there might be any unseemly behavior during my conduct in the audience chamber, I also reported this matter as a precaution. I spoke of these things.
One: When Lord Ise-no-kami and Lord Bizen-no-kami appeared and during the formal greetings, I advanced the timing slightly and

Lord Izumi-no-kami, Lord Iga-no-kami, Lord Yamato-no-kami, and Lord Kii-no-kami appeared, and during the formal
greetings I performed the courtesies. After this was completed, I tried to submit a formal report to Lord Ise-
no-kami at the waiting area in front of the Shinbansho, but he was too busy with official duties and could not meet, so
I met with Lord Kii-no-kami instead, and submitted the following formal report:
