On the 8th day past, at the Sacred Mausoleum of Nikko
I successfully performed the proxy worship, the weather was favorable,
and I reported that everything was completed without any problems
After that, I slid down from the upper platform, descended about three shaku, stood turning to the right, withdrew from the threshold of the lower platform to the first tatami mat, placed my hands on the second tatami mat and prostrated myself. Then
Lord Kii-no-kami graciously acknowledged that the proxy duties were performed without incident, and
[stating] that it was a great service,
there was an imperial command and another acknowledgment, so I slid out to outside the threshold, stood turning right, and returned as before,
went back to near the Asagao cedar doors where I put on my sword, then to the Tokei-no-ma, and following the initial protocol
I proceeded to where I had been waiting, immediately passed through the Naka-no-ma to the Fuyo-no-ma, and
exchanged greetings with my colleagues who were present.
However, I used the tabi socks and other items I had earlier left with the page.
One: When [someone] went out, there was a meeting between an envoy from Lord Mito and Lord Kii-no-kami in the Tsutsuji-no-ma.
One: Ometsuke Hori Tōshū came over and informed the duty officer that Lord Kii-no-kami would from today attend the castle and immediately serve as duty officer.
One: Today there was no formal sitting, so the ometsuke did not come over.
One: The celebratory ceremony for the relocation was to be held on the coming 23rd, but the duty officer Settsu-no-kami was informed that he had official duties and would find it difficult to serve. Although the assistant in order was the same person, as stated in the previous text, there was a consultation from the duty officer Ichimasa to everyone that it would be good for me, being next in order, to serve.
Moreover, if assistance were to be provided until the time of presentation, I would stand in place and [arrange] the order before and after
