差出候伺書可為先格之通之旨御附札ニ而相済候

一、今夕伊豆守殿より留守居呼び出しがあったので参上したところ、今朝
差し出した伺書は先例通りで良い旨の御附札で済んだ。

一、六つ時過ぎに起床
一、五つ時に出宅、今般の御礼のため松平越中守殿、松平
和泉守殿、本多弾正大弼殿へ登
城前に参上（服装：帛袷に麻上下）
ただし越中守殿については例があるので付き込んで御礼を
申し述べ、和泉守殿については例がないので直に御礼を
申し述べた。弾正大弼殿については登城前に差し掛かった間で
面会をお断りする旨を用人が申し聞かせたので、用人へ御礼を
申し述べた。
一、詰日なので和泉守殿宅で着服を着替え継上下で登
城。昨日頼んでおいた通り中條山城守が参上したので、揃い前に御暇
帰府の御目見の次第を御白書院で習礼を行った。
六日
一、変わったことなし
七日
一、八つ時過ぎに御用番松平伊豆守殿より連名の奉書が
到来、左の通り
明日日光への御暇を下さる間、六つ半時に

One: This evening there was a summons for the resident official from Izumi-no-kami, so when I went, the inquiry document I submitted this morning
was approved with an attached note saying to follow precedent.

One: Rose past six o'clock (around 7 AM)
One: Left home at five o'clock (8 AM), to express gratitude for this recent appointment, visited Matsudaira Etchū-no-kami, Matsudaira
Izumi-no-kami, and Honda Danjō Daiyū before their departure for
castle duty (dressed in silk lined garments with hemp formal wear)
However, with Etchū-no-kami there was precedent, so I stayed close and expressed
gratitude; with Izumi-no-kami there was no precedent, so I directly expressed
gratitude. With Danjō Daiyū, as it was just before his departure for castle
duty, his retainer informed me that he declined to meet, so I expressed gratitude
to the retainer.
One: As it was a duty day, I changed into formal court dress at Izumi-no-kami's residence and went to the
castle. As requested yesterday, Nakajō Yamashiro-no-kami appeared, so before the assembly, we practiced the protocol
for the audience upon return from leave at the White Shoin.
6th day
One: Nothing of note occurred
7th day
One: Past eight o'clock (around 2 PM), a jointly signed official letter arrived from duty magistrate Matsudaira Izumi-no-kami,
as follows:
Tomorrow you shall be granted leave to Nikko, so at half past six o'clock
you should proceed to the
castle. End.
