手をかけて平伏し、御用番の方へ顔を向けると御取り合い
があり、右へ回って退去した。それから最初の通りに出て脇差を差し、
御廊下を通って御錠口から出て、西湖の間の御縁側、山吹
の間に入る細廊下の鷲鶯の御杉戸向かい、御障子の後ろに
座って控えていた。羽目の間へ伊豆守殿が出席し、中條山城守の
御進献の御太刀の御渡しならびに拝領物が済んで、御目付の成瀬
吉右衛門の案内があり、山吹の間から羽目の間へ出て
拝領物がある所へ出て頂戴した。御奏者番衆の西尾
隠岐守との取り合いがあって退去し、席に控えていたところ、大目付の松浦
越中守が左の書付を伊豆守殿が仰せ聞かされた旨として渡された。

Having received the direct imperial command, I slid down to the lower platform, turned to the right, and from below placed my hands on the second tatami mat, prostrated myself, and turned my face toward the duty magistrate. There was acknowledgment, I turned right and withdrew. Then I went out as initially instructed, put on my short sword, passed through the corridor, exited from the locked entrance, went to the veranda of the Seiko-no-ma (West Lake Hall), entered the narrow corridor leading to the Yamabuki-no-ma (Yellow Rose Hall), and sat waiting behind the shoji screens facing the eagle and warbler sliding doors. Izu-no-kami-dono appeared in the Hame-no-ma (Panel Hall), and after Nakajō Yamashiro-no-kami's presentation of the ceremonial sword and the granting of gifts was completed, metsuke Naruse Kichirōemon provided guidance. I went from the Yamabuki-no-ma to the Hame-no-ma, proceeded to where the gifts were, and received them. There was an exchange with the announcer Nishio Oki-no-kami, after which I withdrew and waited at my seat. Ōmetsuke Matsuura Echizen-no-kami handed over the following document, saying it was conveyed by Izu-no-kami-dono:
