現代語訳
二により高家衆両人が出席し、日光十七日の御名代を仰せ渡され終了した。自分と松平紀伊守殿両人は一同に芙蓉之間の中之柱から出席し、年寄衆列座の中で御用番松平伊豆守殿が仰せ渡されたのは、来る二十日の日光御名代を書面の通り仰せ付けられる旨であった。御書付一通をお渡しされたため自分が受け取り、その場で御書付を開いて拝見し、そのまま紀伊守殿にお渡しし、同人が拝見の上、自分と紀伊守殿一同にありがたい旨の御礼を申し上げた。右の御書付を直ちに紀伊守殿が懐中にしまい退座した。
ただし右の御書付は自分に返却されたため、中之口で留守居の者に渡した。
一、右が終わって永井信濃守殿の名代本庄近江守殿、丹羽式部少輔、米倉丹後守殿三人が出席し、日光十七日の御祭礼奉行並びに代りを仰せ付けられた。
一、年寄衆列座の中で伊豆守殿からお渡しされた御書付一通は左の通りである。

右の御書付の写し一通を代り松平紀伊守殿に差し遣わした。
一、大目付伊藤河州から左の御書取の写し一通をお渡しされた。もっとも同席中にも自分から通達すべき旨を申し聞かされた。

日光より帰参の節、道中急いで月番の老中宅に退出以前に参着することがあったが、今後急ぐには及ばない。十七日の御名代、御祭礼奉行は十九日暮れまでの内、二十日の御名代は二十三日暮れまでの内に月番まで参るべきことである。

Due to the second matter, the two kōke members took their seats, and the appointment as Nikkō proxy for the 17th was announced and concluded. Both myself and Lord Matsudaira Kii-no-kami attended together from the central pillar of Fuyō-no-ma, and among the seated elders, duty officer Lord Matsudaira Izu-no-kami announced that we were appointed as Nikkō proxies for the coming 20th as written in the document. One written order was presented, which I received. I then opened and reviewed the document on the spot, then passed it directly to Lord Kii-no-kami. After he reviewed it, both myself and Lord Kii-no-kami expressed our gratitude together. Lord Kii-no-kami immediately placed the document in his breast pocket and withdrew from his seat.
However, since the aforementioned document was returned to me, I handed it to the caretaker at the middle gate.
1. After the above concluded, three people took their seats: Lord Honjō Ōmi-no-kami (proxy for Lord Nagai Shinano-no-kami), Niwa Shikibu-shōyū, and Lord Yonekura Tango-no-kami, and they were appointed as festival commissioners and substitutes for Nikkō on the 17th.
1. The written order handed over by Lord Izu-no-kami among the seated elders was as follows:

Appointed as above.
One copy of the aforementioned written order was sent to substitute Lord Matsudaira Kii-no-kami.

When returning from Nikkō, there have been occasions when one hurried on the journey and arrived at the monthly duty elder's residence before departing, but henceforth there is no need to hurry. The proxy for the 17th and festival commissioners should report to the monthly duty officer by the evening of the 19th, and the proxy for the 20th should report by the evening of the 23rd.
