差置床之前江図之通着座ヒ致扣罷在其内執當御留守
居出席ニ付 御名代首尾好相勤致大慶候段申述
幷御座敷向致拝見度旨相頼直執當御留守居照尊院
同道ニ而致拝見御盃抔之次第承り置元之席江帰座
無程執當按内ニ而刀持参御対所江罷通刀扇子者
御入側障子之二差置図之通罷通候処御門主唯
今御法用候ニ付初之御逢御断之旨龍王院ヒ申聞畢而
執當御留守居両人ヒ出御料理ヒ下候段ヒ申聞無間茂
御料理白木具ニ而次之間敷居外迄持参ニ付執當江
向御引替ヒ下候様辞退申早速引替塗木具ニ而
出ル御敷居外二奉行御付添之御医師着座ヒ致自分
同様之御料理出
一御料理出揃坊官執當御留守居罷出自分始奉行御
付添之御医師迄致頂戴候様挨拶有之頂戴之
一二之膳引替ニ而吸物御酒抔出候節者執當御留守居挨
拶有之而致頂戴
但御料理頂戴中執當御留守居家司抔出色二臺

右が相済むと、執当の案内で溜座敷に通され、刀は御入側床の脇に差し置き、床の前に図の通り着座して控えていた。その内に執当、御留守居が出席したので、御名代として首尾よく相勤めて大慶である段を申し述べ、並びに御座敷向を拝見したい旨相頼んだ。直ちに執当、御留守居、照尊院同道で拝見を致し、御盃などの次第を承り置いて元の席に帰座した。
程なく執当の案内で刀を持参し御対面所に参った。刀扇子は御入側障子の内に差し置き、図の通り参った所、御門主は只今御法用中につき初回の御対面は御断りの旨、龍王院が申し聞かせて終わった。執当、御留守居両人が出てきて御料理を下される段を申し聞かせ、間もなく御料理が白木具で次の間の敷居外まで持参されたので、執当に向かって御引き替えを下されるよう辞退申したところ、早速引き替えて塗木具で出た。御敷居外に奉行、御付添の御医師が着座して、自分同様の御料理が出た。
一、御料理が出揃うと坊官執当、御留守居が参り、自分を始め奉行、御付添の御医師まで頂戴するよう挨拶があり、頂戴した。
一、二の膳の引き替えで吸物、御酒などが出た節は、執当、御留守居の挨拶があって頂戴した。
但し御料理頂戴中、執当、御留守居、家司などが出て色々台を引く様なことがあったが、時により異なることである。
一、吸物、御酒まで相済むと御門主が御出座になったので、御門主の方を向き、執当の方に顔を向けて、
御名代として滞りなく相済み、且つまた自分の拝礼も仕り難有く存じ奉る候、御料理の御礼を申し上げたところ、その御盃が出て御銚子を持ち出し中座の時、御膳を退けて脇に出した。御門主が一献を御受けになると、御土器を三方に載せた給仕の者が自分の前に持参したので、御土器を下してくれるよう給仕の者に申して下したところ、一献を頂戴した。御門主が御肴を下されたので帯劔のまま御側に進んで頂戴し、元の処に退座した。加酌を請うたところ、返盃するよう仰せられたので執当に向かって御辞退申したが、再び是非にと仰せられたので、土器に酒を注いで給仕の者に渡した。給仕の者は土器を三方に載せて御門主に差し上げ、御手に取られるのを見受けて時宜を計り、給仕の者が土器を引いた後、御門主は御勝手に御入りになった。元の通り御膳に直って二の御吸物の引き替えで汁粉が出て、御湯まで終わって後段に御菓子が両度出て茶まで済んで元の座に引いた。程なく御門主が御出座になったので、また御留守居の案内で昨日の御対面の通り御敷居際で着座し、それより前の通り参って執当の方を向いて御料理を頂

After this was completed, under the temple administrator's guidance I was shown to the waiting room. My sword was placed beside the alcove platform, and I sat in front of the alcove as shown in the diagram and remained waiting. Meanwhile, the temple administrator and caretaker attended, so I stated that I had successfully performed my duties as imperial representative, which brought great joy, and also requested to view the reception rooms. Immediately I toured them in the company of the temple administrator, caretaker, and Shōson-in, learned about the procedures for sake cups and such, and returned to my original seat.
Soon, under the temple administrator's guidance, I brought my sword and proceeded to the audience chamber. The sword and fan were placed inside the entrance-side sliding doors, and I proceeded as shown in the diagram. However, since the temple head was currently engaged in Buddhist services, the initial audience was declined, which Ryūō-in conveyed to me. The temple administrator and both caretakers came out and informed me that a meal would be served. Shortly after, the meal was brought on plain wooden utensils to outside the threshold of the next room. I requested the temple administrator to have it replaced with better service, and it was quickly replaced with lacquered wooden utensils. Outside the threshold, the magistrate and attending physician were seated, and a meal similar to mine was served.
1. When the meal was ready, the temple officials, administrator, and caretakers came, and there were greetings for everyone from myself to the magistrate and attending physician to partake, which we did.

1. After finishing the soup and sake, the temple head made his appearance. I turned toward the temple head and faced the temple administrator, saying that I had completed my duties as imperial representative without incident, and that I was deeply grateful for performing my worship as well. I expressed thanks for the meal, whereupon sake cups were brought out and sake bottles produced. When I moved to the center, the meal table was removed to the side. When the temple head received the first drink, an attendant brought a sake cup on a stand before me, so I asked the attendant to set down the cup, which was done, and I received the first drink. The temple head offered side dishes, so I approached his side still wearing my sword, received them, and withdrew to my original place. When I requested to pour in return, he instructed me to return the cup, so I declined through the temple administrator, but when he insisted again, I poured sake into the cup and handed it to the attendant. The attendant placed the cup on the stand and presented it to the temple head. Seeing him take it in his hands, I waited for the appropriate moment, and after the attendant withdrew the cup, the temple head retired to his quarters. Returning to the meal as before, the second soup course was replaced with sweet soup, and after finishing with hot water, sweets were served twice in the latter part, and after tea was finished, I withdrew to my original seat. Soon the temple head appeared again, so under the caretaker's guidance, as with yesterday's audience, I sat at the threshold edge, then proceeded as before, turned toward the temple administrator and received the meal
