駅江到着唯今当駅致出立候段直手紙を以申遣
一越谷昼休九時着

一、太田備中守殿は病気のため登城がなく、除名された。

一、今朝六時過ぎに日光表へ出発した。《拝領した御紋付羽織を着用》
一、出立の際、近親の使者たちには清めの事情により直接返答せず、
代わりに松平紀伊守殿からの使者にのみ直接返答を申し遣わした。
一、各所の馳走人並びに下座をする者たちへも清めのため会釈しなかった。
一、今朝日光表へ出発したので、老中衆・若年寄衆・御側衆
並びに代わりの松平紀伊守殿へ使者を差し遣わし、大目付・御目付・頼みの衆へ
手紙を差し出した。
一、千住駅へ代わりの松平紀伊守殿から付き添いの使者が来た。こちらからも千住
駅へ到着し、ただ今当駅を出立する旨を直筆の手紙で申し遣わした。
一、越谷で昼休み、九時に到着。
一、幸手駅に宿泊、七時半過ぎに到着。
十七日 曇天
一、幸手駅を六時過ぎに出立。
一、中田御関所でも断りを申し遣わし、会釈しなかった。
一、古河の城主土井大炊頭から房川へ馳走船を差し出され、役人も
参上したが、城下でも家来を差し出されたものの、断りを申し遣わし会釈しなかった。
一、今日房川渡しが滞りなく済んだので、江戸表へ飛脚を遣わし、代わりの
松平紀伊守殿へ申し遣わした。
一、間々田で昼休み、九時頃到着。
一、その休憩中に例幣使正親町宰相中将殿が通られた。

1. Upon departure, due to purification requirements, I did not respond directly to messengers from close relatives,
but only responded directly to the messenger from Matsudaira Kii-no-kami who was serving as my substitute.
1. I also did not exchange greetings with hospitality providers and those of lower rank due to purification requirements.
1. Since I departed for Nikkō this morning, I dispatched messengers to the Senior Councilors, Junior Councilors, and Attendant Lords,
as well as to Matsudaira Kii-no-kami who was serving as my substitute, and sent letters to the Great Inspectors, Inspectors, and trusted associates.
1. An accompanying messenger came from substitute Matsudaira Kii-no-kami to Senju station. From our side as well, we sent word to Senju
station with a personal letter stating that we had arrived and were now departing from that station.
