一、今日房川渡しが滞りなく済んだので、江戸表へ飛脚を遣わし、代わりの
松平紀伊守殿へ申し遣わした。
一、間々田で昼休み、九時頃到着。
一、その休憩中に例幣使正親町宰相中将殿が通られた。
一、戸田能登守殿から小山宿へ先払いの者が出る。
一、小山宿へ壬生の城主鳥居丹波守から旅中の安否を尋ねるため
使者が来たが、清めのため会釈しなかった。
一、石橋駅に宿泊、七時半過ぎに到着。
十八日 雨、昼過ぎから快晴
一、七時半過ぎに石橋駅を出立。
一、石橋駅出立前に、御名代戸田備後守、御祭礼奉行永井
信濃守殿、丹羽式部少輔が順次通行する予定との由、途中では
行き合うことはなかった。
一、上徳次郎駅で昼休み、九時前に到着。
一、宇都宮城主戸田能登守殿から城下通行の際に家来を
差し出される予定であったが、同人が服喪中のため目通りを遠慮する旨申してきて、昼
休みに使者を差し越された。
一、今市に宿泊、七時過ぎに到着。
一、日光御殿番や同所与力等が各所に出ていたが、会釈しなかった。
一、今市駅へ到着した旨を、先例の通り日光山中へ申し遣わした。
十九日 曇天、九時から雨
一、今暁八時半過ぎに今市駅を出立。
一、鉢石へ明け七時半過ぎに到着。
一、用意が整い、御門主・日光奉行・寺院等へ到着した旨を案内
使者を遣わして、熨斗目・半袴を着用し、客来を相待った。

Shinano-no-kami, and Niwa Shikibu-shōyū would pass through in succession, but we did not
meet them on the road.
1. Midday rest at Kami-Tokujirou station, arriving before nine o'clock.
1. From Toda Noto-no-kami, lord of Utsunomiya castle, retainers were to be
sent out when passing through the castle town, but he sent word that he would refrain from meeting due to being in mourning, and
a messenger was sent during the midday rest.
1. Stayed overnight at Imaichi, arriving after seven o'clock.
1. The Nikkō palace guards and local yoriki were stationed at various places, but I did not exchange greetings.
