一用意相調御門主日光奉行寺院等江致着候段案内
使者遣之熨斗目半袴着用客来相待
一宿坊照尊院参於座敷料理出之於勝手小座敷逢
諸事取持之義相頼院代江も逢軽挨拶
但照尊院直ニ本陣ニ罷在客来之取持致し畢而
料理差出退散之節又々勝手小座敷ニ而逢致
挨拶候
一山中江着之案内申遣候而も近年者日光奉行初
五時ゟ入来有之候由且 御宮 御霊屋内見是又
近年九時ゟ勝手次第罷越候由照尊院咄合有
之候
一御宮別当大楽院入来菓子吸物等出相済対面御機嫌
被相伺候付御機嫌宜段及挨拶被帰候節次之間迄送
但御名代被 仰付 御宮自分拝礼伺之通相済
難有右ニ付拝礼之節心添之義相頼今日内見
致度旨申置
一修学院権僧正龍光院一山惣代医王院入来菓子吸物
等差出相済而対面御機嫌被相伺候間御機嫌宜段
及挨拶被帰候節修学院者式台迄送龍光院医王院
者次之間迄送ル
但龍光院江者今度 御名代被 仰付
御霊屋自分拝礼伺之通相済難有旨右ニ付
御名代之節幷自分拝礼之節も心添之義
相頼今日内見致度旨申達明朝刻限等之義

一、今市宿に到着した段を、先例の通り日光山中へ申し遣わした。
十九日 曇天、九時から雨
一、今暁八時半過ぎに今市宿を出立。
一、鉢石へ明け七時半過ぎに到着。
一、用意が整ったので、御門主・日光奉行・寺院等へ到着した段を案内の使者を遣わし、熨斗目半袴を着用し客来を相待った。
一、宿坊照尊院が座敷に参り、料理を出し、勝手小座敷で逢い、諸事の取り持ちを相頼み、院代にも逢って軽い挨拶をした。
ただし照尊院は直接本陣に罷り在って客来の取り持ちをし、終わって料理を差し出し、退散の節にまた勝手小座敷で逢って挨拶をした。
一、山中へ着いた案内を申し遣わしたが、近年は日光奉行をはじめ五時から入来があるとのこと、かつ御宮・御霊屋の内見もまた近年九時から勝手次第で罷り越すとのこと、照尊院と話し合いがあった。
一、御宮別当大楽院が入来し、菓子・吸物等を出して相済み対面し、御機嫌を伺われたので御機嫌よろしき段を挨拶し、帰られる節に次の間まで送った。
ただし御名代を仰せ付けられ、御宮への自分の拝礼は伺いの通り相済み難有く、これにつき拝礼の節に心添えを相頼み、今日内見をしたい旨を申し置いた。
一、修学院権僧正・龍光院・一山総代医王院が入来し、菓子・吸物等を差し出して相済み、対面して御機嫌を伺われたので御機嫌よろしき段を挨拶し、帰られる節に修学院は式台まで送り、龍光院・医王院は次の間まで送った。
ただし龍光院へは今度御名代を仰せ付けられ、御霊屋への自分の拝礼は伺いの通り相済み難有い旨、これにつき御名代の節並びに自分拝礼の節も心添えを相頼み、今日内見をしたい旨を申し達し、明朝の刻限等を尋ね置いた。

1. With preparations complete, I sent an announcement messenger to the temple head, Nikkō magistrate, temples, and others regarding my arrival, put on noshi-me half-hakama, and waited for visitors.
1. The temple lodging Shōson-in came to the sitting room, served a meal, met in the informal small sitting room, requested assistance with various matters, and also met with the deputy abbot for light greetings.
However, Shōson-in went directly to the main lodging to handle the reception of visitors, and after finishing and serving the meal, when departing, met again in the informal small sitting room for greetings.
1. Although I sent notification of my arrival to the mountain, in recent years the Nikkō magistrate and others have been coming from five o'clock, and also the inner viewing of the shrine and mausoleum has in recent years been done from nine o'clock at one's convenience, as discussed with Shōson-in.
1. The shrine chief priest Dairaku-in came, served sweets and clear soup, and after completing the formalities we met face to face. When he inquired about my well-being, I responded that I was in good health, and when he departed I escorted him to the next room.
However, having been appointed as deputy, my personal worship at the shrine was completed as requested, for which I am grateful. Regarding this, I requested his assistance during the worship ceremony and stated my desire to conduct an inspection today.
1. Shūgaku-in Gon-sōjō, Ryūkō-in, and Iō-in representing the entire mountain came, served sweets and clear soup, completed the formalities and met face to face. When they inquired about my well-being, I responded that I was in good health, and when they departed I escorted Shūgaku-in to the formal entrance and Ryūkō-in and Iō-in to the next room.
However, to Ryūkō-in I conveyed that I had been appointed as deputy this time, that my personal worship at the mausoleum was completed as requested, for which I am grateful, and regarding this I requested assistance during both my duties as deputy and personal worship, stated my desire to conduct an inspection today, and inquired about the timing for tomorrow morning.
