一覧之上隠岐へ相廻し同人一覧後自分へ被戻自分ゟ

奉畏難有旨
申上一本目二本目之御柱之間ヲ自分より引夫より御目付
部屋前通り躑躅之間より中之間へ相越如図両人
着座老衆細廊下之方より御引候付扇子取り老衆
中之間へ御着座候と少し進ミ左之通自分御礼申上候
御代替ニ付日光 御霊屋
御名代被 仰付難有旨申上候

一助番幷被詰合共同役衆江吹聴申述先方よりも怡被

一覧の上、隠岐へ回し、同人が一覧後、自分へ戻された。自分より左の通り申し上げた。
「畏れ多く有り難き旨を奉る」
と申し上げ、一本目二本目の御柱の間を自分より引き下がり、御目付部屋前を通り、躑躅の間より中の間へと移った。図の如く両人が着座すると、老中が細廊下の方よりお引き取りになったため、扇子を取り、老中が中の間へご着座になると、少し進み出て、左の通り自分が御礼を申し上げた。
「御代替わりにつき日光御霊屋の御名代を仰せ付けられ、有り難き旨申し上げ候」
引き続き隠岐より左の通り申し上げた。
「御霊屋の御名代代理を仰せ付けられ、有り難き旨申し上げ候」
右が済むと、老中は奥へお入りになり、部屋へ引き取った。
一、助番並びに詰め合わせの同役衆へ吹聴申し述べたところ、先方よりも祝いの言葉を申し聞かされた。
一、隠岐へも双方より吹聴し、祝賀等を申し述べ、また宜しく申し合わせてくださるよう相頼み申した。
一、退出してから老若の衆への廻勤を済ませ、帰宅したのは八時過ぎであった。
但し、口上書を持参し、左の通りであった。
「御代替わりにつき日光御霊屋の御名代を仰せ付けられ、有り難き仕合わせと存じ奉り候。右御礼のため伺候仕り候」

After reviewing the document, I passed it to Oki, who examined it and returned it to me. I then stated the following:
"I humbly and gratefully receive this honor."
After stating this, I withdrew from between the first and second pillars, passed in front of the inspector's room, and moved from the Tsutsuji-no-ma (Azalea Room) to the Naka-no-ma (Middle Room). As shown in the diagram, both of us took our seats. When the senior councilors withdrew toward the narrow corridor, I took my fan, and when the senior councilors were seated in the middle room, I advanced slightly and offered my formal thanks as follows:
"I express my gratitude for being appointed as imperial representative to the Nikkō Mausoleum in connection with the imperial succession."
Subsequently, Oki stated the following:
"I express my gratitude for being appointed as deputy imperial representative to the Mausoleum."
After this was completed, the senior councilors withdrew to the inner chambers, and we returned to our quarters.
First, I announced the news to the assistant guards and fellow officials on duty, and they offered congratulations in return.
First, I also announced the news to Oki from both parties, exchanged congratulations, and requested that we maintain good cooperation.
First, after leaving and making the rounds to pay respects to senior and junior colleagues, I returned home past eight o'clock.
However, I brought a formal statement as follows:
"I have been appointed as imperial representative to the Nikkō Mausoleum in connection with the imperial succession, which I consider a most grateful honor. I hereby pay my respects in gratitude for this appointment."
