英語訳
Due to the succession, I appoint you as representative to Nikko Mausoleum
There was an imperial command, and while still prostrated, he slid down the lacquered veranda to the second tatami mat,
turned right and stood, retreated from the threshold of the lower platform to the first tatami mat, placed his hands on the second tatami mat
and prostrated himself. Lord Bizen-no-kami responded "I humbly accept," and there was an exchange. He slid out to outside the threshold,
turned right and stood, withdrew as before, and at the morning glory cedar doors (marginal note: wearing sword, holding fan) at the clock
room's adjoining area where he had initially been, he came out and immediately passed through the middle room to the hibiscus room
and exchanged greetings with his fellow officials who were present
Note: When withdrawing, an inner monk guided him to the adjoining area of the clock room
1. Inspector Okubo Hikoza came over and informed today's duty officer of the following sequence:
He went out and met with Lord Matsudaira Higo-no-kami in the waiting area, then made his rounds to the hibiscus
room for the assembly, gave thanks regarding Lord Honda Buzen-no-kami's bestowals, then only Lord Bizen-no-kami
took his seat on the veranda of the secretaries' room, with the junior councilors in attendance, and announcements were made to chief secretary Sugimoto Bennosuke, three times of thanks for bestowals, with attendants before and after,
up to that point
1. Regarding the arrangement of the rounds, he was seated as shown in the diagram with the four-panel sliding doors of the wild goose room behind the veranda of the hibiscus room
1. This morning
As thanks for the incense offering sent for Lord Teikanin-sama's memorial service, Lord Matsudaira Higo-no-kami
came out and went out, meeting with the senior councilors at Matsusaka, then made his rounds as the duty officers inquired about his well-being
This was completed, and the duty officer, as usual, came over to the corner area of the hibiscus room veranda
and was seated. The senior councilors took their seats near the cedar doors. I myself
came out beside the duty officer, and the duty officer took his seat on the second tatami mat with the wild goose room behind him.
The gift attendant brought out five ceremonial jackets on a ceremonial tray, placed them, and withdrew. With greetings to Chief Inspector
Hori Zushu, I came out to the first tatami mat as usual, before the bestowals
