被相越着座老衆横御杉戸際へ御列座有之候ニ付自分
当番之脇へ罷出居当番ニ者雁之間ヲ後口二畳目へ出席
被致候と進物番時服五羽織広蓋ニ載せ持出差置引大目付
堀豆州会尺ニ而自分例之通一畳目へ罷出拝領物之前ニ而
平伏当番之方ヲ一寸向候と拝領物仕難有旨被致取合
相済引進物番拝領物引候と備前守殿ニ者杜若御杉戸
通り御右筆部屋縁頬へ御出席外老衆ニ者細廊下通り
御引ニ付跡ニ付相越細廊下之内ニ而御非番之老衆之脇ヲ欠
抜ケ急キ中之間へ罷越例席へ着座引続御非番老衆御引
懸同所へ如図着座其節扇子取少シ進ミ日光へ御暇被
仰出蒙
上意拝領物仕難有旨申上御非番老衆奥へ被入候
一備前守殿御右筆部屋縁頬ニ而被仰渡拝領物相済御引之節
最前之通御礼申上奥へ被入候と部屋へ入
一同役衆へ御暇拝領物之吹聴申述先方よりも怡被申聞候
一龍門半袴ニ着替退出夫ゟ老若衆廻勤帰宅八時前
但伊賀守殿差合ニ付廻勤無之
口上書左之通
私儀今日日光へ御暇被
仰出蒙 上意拝領物仕難有仕合奉存候
右為御礼伺公仕候
一若年寄へは口上書拙者儀依之致伺公候
一 退出後先月之御番割元河内へ御番除之義申遣候

相済むと当番は例のとおり芙蓉の間御縁角の御柱際へ
参り越し着座、老衆は横の御杉戸際へ御列座があったため、自分は
当番の脇へ参り出て居た。当番は雁の間を後ろにして二畳目へ出席
されたということ。進物番が時服五つ羽織を広蓋に載せて持ち出し差し置いて引く。大目付
堀豆州との会釈にて、自分は例のとおり一畳目へ参り出て拝領物の前にて
平伏し、当番の方を少し向くと、拝領物をありがたく頂戴する旨のお取り合いをされ、
相済んで引く。進物番が拝領物を引くと、備前守殿は杜若御杉戸を
通り御右筆部屋縁頬へ御出席、その他の老衆は細廊下を通り
お引きになるため、その後に付いて参り越し、細廊下の内にて御非番の老衆の脇を欠け
抜けて急いで中の間へ参り越し例席へ着座。引き続いて御非番老衆がお引きになり
掛け、同所へ図のとおり着座。その節扇子を取り少し進んで、日光へお暇を
仰せ出だされ、
上意を蒙り、拝領物をありがたく頂戴する旨を申し上げ、御非番老衆は奥へ入られた。
一、備前守殿が御右筆部屋縁頬にて仰せ渡され、拝領物が相済み、お引きの節
最前のとおり御礼を申し上げ、奥へ入られると部屋へ入る。
一、同役衆へお暇と拝領物の吹聴を申し述べ、先方からも祝いを申し聞かされた。
一、龍門半袴に着替えて退出、それより老若衆回り勤め、帰宅は八時前
但し伊賀守殿は差し合いにつき回り勤め無し
口上書は次のとおり
私どもは今日日光へお暇を
仰せ出だされ、上意を蒙り、拝領物をありがたく頂戴し、幸いなことと存じ奉る
右お礼のため伺公仕る
一、若年寄へは口上書にて私どもは依ってお伺い致す
一、退出後、先月の御番割、元河内へ御番除の義を申し遣わした

When this was completed, the duty officer, as usual, came over to the pillar area at the corner of the hibiscus room veranda
and was seated. The senior councilors took their seats near the side cedar doors, so I myself
came out beside the duty officer. The duty officer took his seat on the second tatami mat with the wild goose room behind him.
The gift attendant brought out five ceremonial jackets on a ceremonial tray, placed them, and withdrew. With greetings to Chief Inspector
Hori Zushu, I came out to the first tatami mat as usual and prostrated myself before the bestowals.
When I turned slightly toward the duty officer, there was an exchange expressing gratitude for receiving the bestowals,
and when this was completed I withdrew. When the gift attendant withdrew the bestowals, Lord Bizen-no-kami passed through the iris cedar doors
to take his seat on the veranda of the secretaries' room, while the other senior councilors passed through the narrow corridor
to withdraw. Following after them, I came over and passed by the side of the off-duty senior councilors in the narrow corridor,
hurried to the middle room and took my usual seat. Subsequently, the off-duty senior councilors withdrew and
took their seats in the same place as shown in the diagram. At that time, taking my fan and advancing slightly, I was granted leave to go to Nikko
and received the imperial command, expressed my gratitude for receiving the bestowals, and the off-duty senior councilors entered the inner quarters.
1. When Lord Bizen-no-kami gave his instructions on the veranda of the secretaries' room and the bestowal ceremony was completed, at the time of withdrawal,
I expressed my thanks as before, and when he entered the inner quarters, I entered the room.
1. I announced the leave and bestowals to my fellow officials, and they also offered their congratulations.
1. I changed into dragongated hakama and withdrew, then made courtesy calls to senior and junior officials, returning home before eight o'clock.
Note: Lord Iga-no-kami had a conflict and did not make courtesy calls.

We today were granted leave to go to Nikko,
received the imperial command, and gratefully received bestowals, considering this a fortunate occasion.
