口上書左之通
私儀今日日光へ御暇被
仰出蒙 上意拝領物仕難有仕合奉存候
右為御禮伺公仕候
一 若年寄へ者口上書拙者儀依之致伺公候
一退出後先月之御番割元河内へ御番除之義申遣候
一今日御暇被 仰出左之通伺書二通御用番備前守殿へ
以留守居之者差出之
日光山 御霊屋
御名代被 仰付御暇被
仰出候付爰元幾日発足可仕候哉
一旅行日数之儀先例も有之其上追々短日にも
相成候間四日経ニ日光江着仕度奉存候
一御名代幾日相勤候儀ニ御座候哉
右之趣奉伺候以上

現代語訳
口上書は以下の通り
私は本日、日光へのお暇（休暇）を仰せ出され、上意を承り、拝領物を頂戴し、誠にありがたい仕合せと存じます。
右の御礼のため、伺候いたします。
一、若年寄へは口上書で「拙者の件につき」として伺候いたします。
一、退出後、先月の御番割元河内へ番除きの件を申し送りました。
一、本日お暇を仰せ出されたことについて、以下の通り伺書二通を御用番備前守殿へ留守居の者を通じて差し出しました。
日光山御霊屋
御名代を仰せ付けられ、お暇を
仰せ出されましたので、当地より何日に発足すべきでしょうか。
一、旅行日数の件は先例もあり、その上だんだん日が短くなってきましたので、四日がかりで日光江到着したく存じます。
一、御名代を何日間勤めることになりますでしょうか。
右の趣き、お伺いいたします。以上

御目見得以前、すべて出仕の件を仰せ出された節の登
城の件について、御用のための御暇中の件でありますから、どのように

The verbal statement is as follows:
I have today been granted leave to go to Nikko, have received the lord's command, and have been bestowed with gifts, which I consider to be an extremely fortunate situation.
I humbly appear before you to express my gratitude for this honor.
One: To the wakadoshiyori (junior councilors), I will present a verbal statement saying "regarding my matter" and pay my respects.
One: After retiring from the castle, I sent word to Kawachi, the previous month's duty roster coordinator, about being relieved from duty.
One: Regarding today's granted leave, I submitted two inquiry documents through my caretaker to Lord Bizen-no-kami, who is the duty officer, as follows:
Nikko-san Sacred Mausoleum
Having been appointed as deputy and granted leave,
on what day should I depart from here?
One: Regarding the number of travel days, there are precedents for this, and moreover as the days are becoming progressively shorter, I would like to arrive at Nikko in four days of travel.
One: How many days should I serve as deputy?
I humbly inquire about these matters. That is all.

castle attendance, since this is leave for official business, how should I
