一御目代両人入来料理等差出其後明日言上書按詞
以留守居為見右済而逢御機嫌被相伺候得共此答は不致

上様益御機嫌能被成御座候段美濃守へ被申達候様相達シ
両人 御山御安全之旨被申聞時ニ用人奉書箱之儘
持出蓋之上ニ載セ自分へ相渡候間美濃守へ被相達候様

現代語訳
一、奉行堀美濃守が参上すべきところ、体調不良のため断りの使者を差し越した。
一、御目代両人が入来し、料理等を差し出した。その後、明日の言上書の文案を留守居に見せて、右の件が済んでから御機嫌伺いをしたが、この返答はせず、相応の挨拶を申し述べた。それより江戸表の老中の御伝言の趣旨として、「上様がますます御機嫌よく過ごされている」という段を美濃守へ申し達するよう相達した。
両人が「御山が御安全である」旨を申し聞いた時に、用人が奉書箱のまま持ち出し、蓋の上に載せて自分へ渡したので、美濃守へ相達するよう申し達し、両人へ相渡した。この度、御代替につき御名代を仰せ付けられた御礼、右以後に御霊屋への自分の拝礼も伺い相済ませ、これもありがたい旨、後刻御霊屋内見の儀を申し出て相済ませ、勝手（台所）へ入った。

One: Magistrate Hori Mino-no-kami was supposed to come, but due to illness, he sent a messenger with his apologies.
One: The two deputy administrators (medai) came and refreshments were served. Afterward, they showed the draft of tomorrow's formal report to the caretaker official, and after this was completed, they inquired about his well-being, but no response was given to this. Appropriate greetings were exchanged. Then, as the message from the senior councilors in Edo, they conveyed that "His Lordship is in increasingly good health" and instructed that this be communicated to Mino-no-kami.
When the two men reported that "the sacred mountain is secure," the administrative officer brought out a document box as it was, placed it on the lid, and handed it to me, so I instructed that it be communicated to Mino-no-kami and handed it over to the two men. Regarding the gratitude for being appointed as representative due to this succession, and after this, my own worship at the mausoleum was also arranged and completed. This too was most grateful. Later, I requested to view the interior of the mausoleum, and this was completed, then I entered the kitchen area.
