御名代の拝礼を務め終えて、御拝殿元の御畳の上《ただし先例の｜記録には》
《中啓については 御内陣の壇の下へ置いた記録もあるところ、御別当龍光院が昨日申し聞かせたのは｜中啓を用いる時は持って入っても差し支えない旨申し聞かせたので、この通りにした》
に復座した。この時御門主御名代は退散し、龍光院の案内にて
奥院へ
御名代として参ることになったので 御正面にて中礼し、階を下り
左の方へ同人の案内にて参った《ただし袴を括るのがよい旨、龍光院が申し聞かせた｜ので括って参った。草履は外に出ておく》
奥院の右壇下にて薄縁が敷いてある所で括りを解き

At the inner sanctuary, below the right altar platform where thin mats were laid out, [I] untied the bindings,
ascended the stairs, and with Ryūkō-in's bow, lightly placed [my] hand on the kneeling cushion.
