同所で刀を差し、御白洲中程より立ち戻り、左の口上書を
敷出薄縁へ片手軽く突き差し出した。
今日は御料理をお下し置きくださり、お心入れをいただき、誠に
恐縮至極に存じ奉ります。私は追って当地を出発いたしますので、
右御礼に参上いたします。
この段、執当中まで
ただし、先例では御本坊で御料理をお下しいただくところ、少々体調不良で
短日の節、何かと手間取り出立も延引となり難儀につき、
かねて法門院へ留守居から内談に及んだところ、話し方が
難しい様子につき、なお内談に及んで頂戴の姿に懸け合いが
できて、本文の通り済んだ。
一 それから堀美濃守へ赴き、取次が白洲中程まで出てきたので左の
口上書を差し出した。
この度私は
御名代を滞りなく勤め、大慶に存じます。追って当地を
出発いたします。これにより伺候いたします。

The attending officials escorted me to the entrance mat (敷出薄縁), so I also exchanged greetings with them.
At the same location, I donned my sword, returned from the middle of the white sand courtyard, and
lightly thrust out the following written statement with one hand to the entrance mat:
Today you have graciously provided a meal and shown such consideration, which is truly
most humbling. As I will soon depart from this place,
I have come to express my gratitude.

However, according to precedent, the meal should have been served at the main temple, but due to slight indisposition
and the short time available, various delays occurred making departure difficult, so
the caretaker had previously consulted privately with Hōmon-in, but the discussion seemed
difficult, so further private consultation was held and arrangements were made for receiving it,
and it was completed as written in the main text.

written statement:
This time I have
carried out my duties as representative without incident, which brings me great joy. I will soon
depart from here. Therefore, I have come to pay my respects.
