琉球（りうきう）古（いにしへ）の朝献（てうけん）
琉球（りうきう）は吾邦（わがくに）の南海（なんかい）にあるところの一（ひとつ）の島国（しまぐに）なり、其（その）
国（くに）の風俗（ふうぞく）もとより質朴（しつぼく）にして文字（もんじ）に習（なら）はず、これに
よりて国（くに）の名（な）は聞（きこ）えながら、開闢（かいひやく）より歴代（れきだい）の事実（じじつ）は、
史書（ししよ）などいふものもなければ、その詳（つまびらか）なることは得（え）て
考（かんが）ふべからず、唐土（もろこし）の書（しよ）には隋書（ずゐしよ）にはじめて見え
たり、煬帝（やうだい）の大業元年（たいげふぐわんねん）海帥（かいすゐ）何蛮（かばん）というもの、春秋（はるあき）の

Ancient Ryukyu tribute offerings to the court
