禾稈（ワラシヘ）もしくは紙撚（コヨリ）にて、口吻（クチワキ）の角（カド）より角の寸
を下 脣（クチビル）の赤￣キ白￣ハ【ノヵ】際にそひてとり、それを二ッに折（ヲリ）、
その折目を臍（ホソ）へあて、両 端（ハシ）左右
二所に点（テン）し、また紙撚（コヨリ）を
竪（タテ）に折目を
臍（ホソ）へ当（アテ）て、
上下二所の
端（ハシ）に点（テン）し、
その上下の
点（テン）へ撚子（コヨリ）をあてゝ

左右合せて八所、これを八 花（クワ）の

傷寒（シヨウカン）の陰証（インシヨウ）の、灸に可（ヨロシ）きものも、
此処（コノトコロ）に灸して効を得ること多し

【右丁】
温罨剤（温湿布薬）は使用が困難である。その場合には、蘆薈、没薬、龍脳《薬舗で「白手」と呼ぶ物を用いてもよい}}の三味を、各2匁ずつ、それぞれ別々に細かい粉末にして、酒2合と濃い酢5勺に浸し、少し温めてこれで洗うべきである。またこの薬剤を用いて、創傷の中を洗うのもまたよい。その場合には冷えたままで使用するのである。
この他は、前編に記載してあるので、参考にして使用すべきである。

八華の灸所の図
藁の茎もしくは紙縒りで、口角から口角の寸法を下唇の赤と白の境に沿って測り取り、それを二つに折り、その折り目を臍に当て、両端を左右二箇所に印をつけ、また紙縒りを縦に折り目を臍に当てて、上下二箇所の端に印をつけ、その上下の印へ縒子を当てて左右四箇所に印をつける。上下左右合わせて八箇所、これを八華の灸と言う。痢病、霍乱の嘔吐下痢が激しいもの、及び疝気、癥瘕、留飲などに灸治してよく、傷寒の陰証で、灸治に適するものも、この箇所に灸して効果を得ることが多い。

Warm poultice medicine is difficult to use. In that case, use aloe, myrrh, and borneol {{what pharmacies call "shirode" may also be used}}, three ingredients, 2 monme each, grind each separately into fine powder, soak in 2 go of sake and 5 shaku of strong vinegar, warm slightly and wash with this. It is also good to use this medicine to wash inside wounds. In that case, use it while cold.

Diagram of Eight Flower Moxibustion Points
Using straw stems or paper cords, measure the distance from corner to corner of the mouth along the border between the red and white of the lower lip, fold it in half, place the fold at the navel, mark both ends at two places left and right, also place the paper cord vertically with the fold at the navel, mark the upper and lower ends at two places, apply the cord to those upper and lower marks and mark four places left and right. Upper, lower, left and right combined make eight places, this is called Eight Flower moxibustion. Good for severe vomiting and diarrhea in dysentery and cholera, as well as hernia, abdominal masses, and fluid retention. For yin syndrome of typhoid fever suitable for moxibustion, applying moxibustion at these locations often produces good effects.
