と半時ばかり、少ばかりを水に滴（タラシ）てその程を
こゝろみ、火より下して、蕃（オランダ）瀝青（チヤン）【注】の水飛したる
もの三十戔を加へ、よく攪（カキマゼ）て、再ひ火に上せ、よく
混和【左ルビ：イリマジリ】して粘稠（ネバリ）たるところを下し、温なるに乗
じて、布に拡（ノベ）て後に、乾くを待て巻おくべし、
魚膠膏
魚膠（ニベ）《割書：百戔》 密陀僧《割書：三十戔》
右先焼酒五合を以て密陀僧の細末を浸おく
こと二日ばかりにして、滓（カス）を漉（コシ）去り、さて魚膠に

水一升許を入て、火に上せてよく融解（トカ）し、水気の
減ずるに随（シタガヒ）て、密陀僧の焼酒を加へて、膠飴（ミヅアメ）の如
くになりたるときに、火よりおろし布もしくは
絹（キヌ）にのべて貯（タクハヘ）おくなり、俗に上 透膠（スキニカハ）といふものを
水にて煮（ニ）たるを紙にのべて、即効紙と称して
売ものは、この略方にて、これもまた用ふべし
緩和膏
白蝋《割書：六十戔》 胡麻油《割書：二合、夏は一合を用ふ、》
右白蝋を薄（ウス）く斲（ケツリ）て、麻油を火に上せて温め、油
の上面の動くをみて、蝋を入、融解（トケ）たるときに火

合を加えて弱火にかけ、手を止めずにかき混ぜながら煮る
こと半時（約1時間）ほど、少量を水に垂らしてその程度を
試し、火から下ろして、オランダ瀝青を水飛（水で精製）した
もの三十匁を加え、よくかき混ぜて、再び火にかけ、よく
混合して粘りが出たところで火から下ろし、温かいうちに
布に塗り広げてから、乾くのを待って巻いて保存すべきである。
魚膠膏（にべこう）
魚膠《百匁》 密陀僧《三十匁》
右はまず焼酎五合で密陀僧の細末を浸しておく

緩和膏（かんわこう）

右の白蝋を薄く削って、胡麻油を火にかけて温め、油の

place over fire and dissolve well. As the water evaporates, add the litharge-infused shōchū until it becomes like starch syrup, then remove from fire and spread on cloth or silk for storage. What is commonly called "transparent glue" boiled in water and spread on paper, sold as "instant-effect paper," is made by this simplified method and can also be used.
Soothing Ointment (kanwa-kō)
White wax 《60 monme》 Sesame oil 《2 gō, use 1 gō in summer》
Shave the white wax thinly, heat the sesame oil over fire until warm. When you see the oil surface moving, add the wax, and when dissolved, remove from fire
