恐れ多くも口上書をもって申し上げます件について

一、本町で私が所持しております酒造家・蔵・地所並びに酒株の件につきまして、伊勢屋善助より御嘆願がございましたことに対し、御返答申し上げますよう仰せ付けられ、同人の申し立ての条々について一々相違がございますので、ヶ条の通り御奉申し上げます。

一、酒造家一円を下大島村の平八へ六兵衛より先年貸し付け、その後引き上げ地となったという一条につきましては、私には関わりのないことですので、御答え申し上げません。

一、天保八酉年八月、伊勢屋六兵衛方が本町で所持していた屋敷地が午年に焼失した後、家作も出来ないので、屋敷その外を質入れいたしたく、家蔵が出来上がった上で酒造商売を始めてくれるよう、わざわざ親の利左衛門へ願い出たことにより、年季十ヶ年限りで表口八間三尺、裏行は大境まで、外に穀屋一ヶ所で、敷金五十両を貸し渡し、年季証文を取り置き申しました。決して懇望などでその商売を始めたなどということはございません。十五ヶ年季などと申し立てることは甚だ相違の義でございます。十ヶ年季が明けた節、吉田屋勘蔵方へ私が参り掛け合いましたところ、六兵衛は江戸表へ出て留守のことゆえ、いかんともしようがございませんので、未だ八月より

First, concerning my sake brewery, storehouse, land, and sake brewing licenses that I possess in Honmachi, in response to the petition submitted by Iseya Zensuke, I have been ordered to provide a reply. Since there are discrepancies in each of the points raised by said person, I humbly submit the following articles.

First, regarding the matter of the sake brewery premises being lent by Rokubei to Heihachi of Shimo-Oshima Village in previous years and subsequently becoming abandoned land - this matter does not concern me, so I will not provide an answer.

First, in the 8th month of Tempō 8, Year of the Cock (1837), after Iseya Rokubei's residential property in Honmachi was destroyed by fire in the Year of the Horse, and since he could not rebuild, he earnestly requested my father Risaemon to allow him to mortgage the residence and other properties, and to begin sake brewing business once the house and storehouse were completed.
