ならびに上畑五畝二歩、下畑四畝歩、上畑二十四歩、同十八歩、水車見取場七歩、合計五筆、これの礼金として二十両を相渡し申しました。合計金五十両、亥年から申年まで八ヶ年季で譲り受けの証文を取り置き申しました。その後、酒造商売を取り続けることが難しくなり、山形屋喜八へ家賃で貸そうかと内談いたしました折、御産物御会所で酒造をなさりたいとの御沙汰がありましたので、家賃金十五両でお貸し申しました。その後二十両でお貸し置き申しました。右の六兵衛方の八ヶ年季が満了しましても何の断りもございませんので、屋敷地同様に吉田屋勘蔵へ掛け合いましたところ、五ヶ年延期の儀をお願いしたいとのことでしたので延ばし置き申しました。前書き同様、期限に至りましても一円断りがございませんので、本証文の通り流れになりました間、他へ質入れいたします節も全て役印等も差し支えなく、これまで所持いたしてまいりました。年限が過ぎましても、もはや十六、七ヶ年にも及び捨て置きましたのに、この節に至り彼是申し出るのは甚だもって法外の義と存じ奉ります。
英語訳
Along with upper field of 5 tan 2 bu, lower field of 4 tan bu, upper field of 24 bu, another 18 bu, and water mill observation area of 7 bu, totaling five parcels, for which 20 ryō was paid as礼金 (gratitude money). The total sum of 50 ryō was paid, and a transfer certificate was kept for an 8-year term from the year of the boar to the year of the monkey. Afterward, it became difficult to continue the sake brewing business, so we discussed renting it to Yamagataya Kihachi for rent. At that time, the official産物会所 (products office) expressed desire to conduct sake brewing, so we rented it for 15 ryō in rent, and later for 20 ryō. Even after Rokubei's 8-year term expired, there was no notice from him, so similar to the residential land matter, we consulted with Yoshidaya Kanzō, who requested a 5-year extension, which we granted. As with the previous matter, even when the term expired, there was absolutely no notice, so according to the original certificate it became forfeited, and when mortgaging it elsewhere, all official seals presented no obstacles, and we have possessed it until now.
