和解も試みましたが、どうしても納得してもらえないので、この上は仕方がございません。やむを得ずお届け申し上げます。何とか伴助の家が成り立つように、ご裁許くださいますようお願い申し上げます。本来であれば帰宅して文右衛門に話を聞いてもらった上でお願いするべき筋でございますが、往復にも時間がかかり、人手の少ないところで再びお願いに参上するのも恐縮に存じますので、やむを得ずお願い申し上げます。なお、文右衛門も、姉の考えに合わない者に相続させるつもりはないと、こちらに参った際に申し含めた件がございます。詳細な件については、お尋ねがあれば口頭でも申し上げたく存じます。以上。

We humbly request that you please render judgment so that Bansuke's household may somehow be maintained. Properly speaking, we should return home and consult with Bunemon before making this petition, but since the round trip takes time and we are short-handed, it would be troublesome to come again to make our request, so we have no choice but to petition you now. Please note that Bunemon also mentioned when he came here that he had no intention of having someone whom the elder sister does not approve of inherit the family.
