武勇の人が

珍重
なるかな。
長く世の
静かなるほど

一、この度長生不老門に入った
輩は山気に中（あた）り不便の
由、その上山より落ちた
面々も多く有る段
聞き及ばれ、箱根の
七湯へ日数三回りの
御暇を下される間、申し合わせ
込み合わぬよう七ヶ所へ
入湯有るべき旨仰せ出され
条、その意を得るべき
ものなり
月日 重忠これを奉る
英語訳
【Shigetada】
Hmph, there are too many
people of martial valor
compared to others. However,
the slippery ones are
more cunning.
Now, the reason we
sorted them this way
is due to a request
from the rice-pounding
thousand-koku master.
【Yoritomo】
That martial arts has
prevailed over literary arts
is most
admirable.
The longer the world
remains peaceful,
naturally
literary arts
will prevail.
My concern
and attention
is focused on
that matter.

Having received orders
to discern the great and small lords
among the slippery ones
and advance them
into both the
literary and martial
ways,
and having been granted
leave to visit
the seven hot springs
of Hakone,
this is conveyed
to Kudo
Saemon,
the steward
of various lords.

This shall be conveyed
only to those
who emerged
from the secret passage
of longevity
and immortality.
【Official Notice】
Item: Those who entered
the Gate of Longevity and Immortality this time
have been affected by mountain vapors and suffered discomfort.
Moreover, many of those
who fell from the mountain
have been reported.
Therefore, leave for three rounds of days
to the seven hot springs of Hakone
is granted. Coordinate among yourselves
so as not to overcrowd, and
visit the seven locations for hot spring bathing
as ordered.
You should understand this intent.
