【Right Page】 Now, having obtained the general outline of the ranking system from Minister Cai Wen, Minister Cheng Shunze showed him the official system. His memorial states: "The establishment of offices and division of duties in Chuzan is not something of recent origin. Having respectfully encountered the enlightened teachings of the Sacred Son of Heaven, our kingdom's official ranks dare not fail to reverently follow them. Therefore, based on the original titles, we first established the order of merit ranks, then arranged the hierarchy of major and minor official positions. All ministers and officials are appointed according to their qualifications, with caps, hairpins, and clothing colors unified and immutable. Speaking of names, they are the same yet different; speaking of ranks, they are different yet the same. In general, they conform to the old system and harmonize with correct pronunciation; the court ranks truly honor the king. The written documents list items clearly and are refined and admirable. However, in establishing a state and creating offices, both civil and military should be equally valued. Currently, aside from the Ceremonial Guard and Military Preparedness Department, military positions are too abbreviated, and military systems and armaments are also not recorded in detail. We should await future continued investigation and compilation," it states. 【Left Page】 Caps and Robes The King: Side-winged black gauze cap, gold-plated red tassels, dragon-head gold hairpin, python robe, belt made of rhinoceros horn and white jade, all following the bestowed clothing system of the former Ming. The Queen: phoenix-head gold hairpin. Palace women are also divided into five ranks, approximately one hundred people. The hairpins of noble ladies all correspond to their husbands' rank and status. From First Rank downward: eight grades of caps, four grades of hairpins, four grades of belts, all listed in detail as follows: 【Framework below】 【Upper section】 Senior First Rank《Gold hairpin|Colored brocade cap|Brocade belt|Green robe》 Junior 【Middle section】 Senior Second Rank《《Senior Second Rank》Gold hairpin《Junior Second Rank》Gold flower silver pillar hairpin|Purple silk cap《Those with merit are granted patterned brocade caps》|Dragon-coiled yellow belt《Those with merit are granted brocade belts》|Deep blue robe《Down to eighth and ninth ranks, court dress is all the same》》 Junior 【Lower section】 Senior Third Rank《Silver hairpin|Yellow silk cap|Dragon-coiled yellow belt》 Junior
