片帽
　　片帽はすべて黒色の絹で作り、頭頂部を覆い下簷は六稜に作る。寒い時の家居帽で、医官、楽工及び王宮で茶や水を注ぐ役に就く者で、僧のように剃髪した者が皆これを戴く。

笠
　　笠は多くは麦茎で作る。皮笠もあり、外側に黒漆を塗り、内側を朱色にする。

短簪
　　短い髻簪は長さ三四寸ほど。すでに冠をかぶり頭頂中央の髪を除いた者がこれを挿す。花頭は円柱、また方柱や六稜柱もある。金が最も貴く、金頭銀柱がこれに次ぎ、銀がまたこれに次ぎ、銅が下である。

長簪
　　長簪は長さ一尺余り。婦人や幼童で大きな髻を結う者がこれを挿す。また金銀の三品で貴賤を分ける。民家の女の簪はすべて玳瑁製である。

片帽 (Single-sided Cap)
　　Single-sided caps are all made of black silk, covering the top of the head with the lower brim made in six ridges. This is a household cap for cold weather, worn by medical officials, musicians, and those who serve tea and water in the royal palace who have shaved heads like monks.

笠 (Sedge Hat)
　　Sedge hats are mostly made from wheat stalks. There are also leather hats with black lacquer applied to the outside and vermillion on the inside.

短簪 (Short Hairpin)
　　Short topknot hairpins are about three to four inches long. Those who already wear caps and have removed the hair from the center top of their head insert these. The decorative heads are cylindrical, and there are also square columns and six-ridged columns. Gold is most precious, gold head with silver shaft comes next, silver follows after that, and copper is the lowest grade.

長簪 (Long Hairpin)
　　Long hairpins are over one foot in length. Women and young children who wear large topknots insert these. They also use three grades of gold and silver to distinguish social rank. Hairpins of common household women are all made of tortoiseshell.
