　法司以下は平日はみな緑地印花布の傘を用いているが、今見ると各人がみな花模様の雨傘を使用しており、各人の前で足踏み鳴金を一人が行っている。
　　座褥（座布団）
　一品：紅褐色の中心部、青褐色の縁、紅い毛氈を敷く
　二品：青い布の中心部、紅い布の縁、紅い毛氈を敷く
　三品：青い布の表面、紅い毛氈を敷く
　四品・五品：ともに藍色の布の表面、白い毛氈を敷く
　六品以下：座褥は用いず、ただ毛氈の条（帯状のもの）のみを用いる

　首里の四大姓は向・翁・毛・馬である。向氏は国王尚姓の別族であるが、少し遠い関係であるため向と称して区別している。故に代々王家とは通婚しない。本国人で王家と婚姻関係にあるのは翁・毛・馬の三家のみで、代々王舅・法司となっている。現在法司となっているのは三人で、馬献図、翁自道、向聖𢋫国丈、毛邦秀である《注記：現王尚敬の外祖父、王妃は馬氏である》。世系はいずれも詳細不明で、続けて考証し系譜を列記する予定である。
　久米三十六姓はみな洪武・永楽両朝に賜った閩人（福建人）で、万暦年間には蔡・鄭・梁・金・林の五姓のみが残存していた。万暦三十五年に続けて賜ったのは阮・毛の両姓である。各姓の子孫はみなそれほど繁栄していない。その他に寄籍して立身出世し貴顕となった者は多くいるが、賜姓の旧家ではない。現在九姓の世譜を閲覧すると、多くが読書し国学を

　The four great surnames of Shuri are Shō, Ō, Mō, and Ba. The Shō clan is a branch family of the royal Shō surname, but being somewhat distantly related, they are called Shō to distinguish them. Therefore, they do not intermarry with the royal family through generations. Among the native people, only the three families Ō, Mō, and Ba have marriage relations with the royal family, serving as royal uncles and legal officials through generations. Currently there are three people serving as legal officials: Ba Kenzu, Ō Jidō, Shō Seikinkokujō, and Mō Kunshū《Note: maternal grandfather of current King Shō Kei; the queen consort is of the Ba clan》. The genealogies of all are unclear in detail, and we plan to continue investigation and list the family trees.
　The Kume Thirty-six Surnames were all Min people (Fujian people) granted during the Hongwu and Yongle reigns. By the Wanli period, only five surnames remained: Cai, Zheng, Liang, Jin, and Lin. In the 35th year of Wanli, two more surnames were granted: Ruan and Mao. The descendants of each surname have not flourished greatly. Many others have achieved status and become distinguished through naturalization, but they are not from the old granted-surname families. Currently examining the genealogies of the nine surnames, many are engaged in scholarly learning and national studies
