一 御出立の節、庄太郎と与左衛門は
上下（かみしも）を着て下夕町の桝形まで参りました
六兵衛と利右衛門については御堂垣外から
御本陣までお供いたしました
袴羽織を着用して御宿二軒へ
お伺いを申し上げて帰りました
一 すべて在郷においても御泊宿や御休宿は
もちろん御通行筋の村々の役人が
御泊まりまでお伺いに出るお供の段取りも
すべて右の通りでございます
一 御通行筋の村々の役人が前もって
御泊まりに出向いてお伺い申し上げる御代領も

- At the time of departure, Shotaro and Yozaemon wore formal kamishimo attire and went to the masugata at Shimoyumachi. Rokubei and Riemon accompanied the party from Mido-gakigai to the honjin, wearing hakama and haori, and after making inquiries at two lodging establishments, they returned.
- In all rural areas, for overnight stays and rest stops, the village officials along the route of travel naturally make inquiries up to the lodging arrangements, and the escort arrangements are all conducted in the same manner as described above.
