一、具志川が御玄関の階の上に到着した時、
大目付河野豊前守、能勢因幡守が
出向き、裏門から殿上の間下段に着座した。
従者は同じ場所の次の間に列座し、下級の者たちは
御玄関前の庭上に群がって座った。
一、松平薩摩守が登城し、殿上の間
下段の上座に着座した。
一、出仕の面々は直垂、狩衣、大紋、布衣、
素襖を着用した。
一、中山王の書簡の箱を大目付河野豊前守、

1. When Gushikawa arrived at the top of the steps of the main entrance,
the ōmetsuke (chief inspectors) Kōno Buzen-no-kami and Nose Inaba-no-kami
came out to meet him and took their seats in the lower tier of the palace hall via the rear gate.
The attendants sat in rows in the adjacent room of the same location, while those of lower rank
gathered and sat in the courtyard in front of the main entrance.
1. Matsudaira Satsuma-no-kami ascended to the castle and
took his seat in the upper position of the lower tier in the palace hall.
1. Those in attendance wore hitatare, kariginu, daimon, hōi,
and suō formal court dress.
1. The box containing the letter from the King of Chūzan was received by
the ōmetsuke Kōno Buzen-no-kami and Nose Inaba-no-kami.
