○煎（せん）じたる茶（ちや）茶碗（ちやわん）の中にて水とわける法
胆礬（たんはん）の細末（さいまつ）を少し煎茶（せんちや）の中へ入れ撹（かきまは）せば水と茶（ちや）と分る妙也
○竹（たけ）の筒（つゝ）に蛍（ほたる）を入／外（ほか）より其／光（ひか）り見ゆる法
青竹（あをたけ）の上下に節（ふし）をのこし錐（きり）にて穴（あな）をあけ蛍（ほたる）を穴（あな）より入る也
何（なに）ほと厚（あつ）き竹にても光（ひか）り外（そと）にあらはるゝこと妙也／枯（かれ）たる竹（たけ）にては見へず
○豆腐（とうふ）に絵（ゑ）を書ておちさる法
紅（へに）にても墨（すみ）にても酢（す）にてとき古礬（こはん）を少し入／何（なに）にても豆腐（とうふ）の
上に書（かく）なり煮（に）てもはげる事なし
○歩行（ほこう）するに股（もゝ）すれするを治（ち）する神方
生姜（しやうが）のしぼり汁（しる）にてあらふべし忽（たちまち）治（ぢ）する神方（しんはう）也また生
姜を袖（そで）に入れてもよし
○草花（くさばな）より紅粉（へに）をとる法
何（なに）によらず赤（あか）き花（はな）にはみな紅（へに）あるものなり葉鶏頭（はけいとう）など
よろし是（これ）をすりとろかし絹（きぬ）にてこし其／汁（しる）に松（まつ）のみどりを入
是を土（ど）なべに煎（せん）ずれば紅粉（へに）はそこにとゞまる也是に烏梅（うばい）の
汁を見合（みあはせ）に入れ常（つね）の紅粉（へに）を取（とる）やうにしてとるなり若（もし）道具（たうく）
なければ金（かな）どふしの中に羽二重（はふたへ）をしき是（これ）へ汁（しる）を入て水を
たらし紅粉（へに）を取（とり）用ゆるときは常（つね）の酢（す）にてもとき古礬（こはん）少し入
現代語訳
○煎じた茶を茶碗の中で水と分ける方法
胆礬の細末を少し煎茶の中へ入れて掻き回せば、水と茶とが分かれる奇妙なことである。
○竹の筒に蛍を入れ、外からその光が見える方法
青竹の上下に節を残し、錐で穴を開けて蛍を穴から入れるのである。どれほど厚い竹でも光が外に現れることは奇妙である。枯れた竹では見えない。
○豆腐に絵を書いて落ちない方法
紅でも墨でも酢で溶き、古礬を少し入れ、何でも豆腐の上に書くのである。煮ても剥げることがない。
○歩行するときに股擦れするのを治す神方
生姜の絞り汁で洗うべし。たちまち治る神方である。また生姜を袖に入れてもよい。
○草花から紅粉を取る方法
何によらず赤い花にはみな紅があるものである。葉鶏頭などがよろしい。これを摺りとろかし絹で漉し、その汁に松の緑を入れ、これを土鍋で煎ずれば紅粉は底に留まるのである。これに烏梅の汁を見合わせに入れ、常の紅粉を取るようにして取るのである。もし道具がなければ金盥の中に羽二重を敷き、これへ汁を入れて水を垂らし紅粉を取り、用いるときは常の酢で溶き古礬を少し入れる。

Wash with ginger juice. This divine remedy will cure it immediately. Alternatively, putting ginger in one's sleeve also works.
○Method to extract rouge powder from flowers and plants
Any red flower contains rouge. Cockscomb leaves work well. Grind these until liquid, strain through silk, add pine green to the juice, and boil in an earthen pot - the rouge powder will remain at the bottom. Add ume plum juice as a balancer and extract as you would ordinary rouge powder. If you lack proper equipment, lay silk crepe in a metal basin, pour the juice in, add water dropwise to extract the rouge powder. When using, dissolve in ordinary vinegar and add a little aged alum.
